Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

I have just put a new colr and a new black cartridge in to my HP PSC 1400 printer and I cannot get the unit to print > I have turned the power of and on again. Still no luck. Also there was an error message re the scanner which I did not understand. By the way, I have made a black copy and a colr copy. So the unit is copying correctly. Can yu help me please?

You will separate between the colored and black colored also the scanner they were not same..installation it one by one..then u can use anytime if u made finished install it..

Why will my 5520 printer will not print black


IT MIGHT BE THAT THE BLACK INK RAN OUT OF INK SO ITS NOT PRINTING IN BLACK.However try changing the ink cartridge... If you have already done so then remove the ink cartridge and the clean the copper contacts with a lint free cloth... then shake the ink cartridge and then put it back in. then check if it works... if it does not then remove the power chord from the back of the printer without turning off the printer... then press and hold the power button for 30 sec...
then release the power button and then plug in the power chord...
again try printing in black.. if it does not then follow the steps below..
press the setup icon on the printer >> go to tools >> Clean Printhead ...
after it is done again go to setup >> tools >>Align Printer
after it is done check if black prints or not..
if not then Press BL/TL/BL/BL Buttons, in sequence (BL- Bottom Left, TL: Top Left) >>Touch Support Menu>>
Press Right arrow for Reset Menu and Touch OK >>
Press Right arrow for Semiful Reset and Touch OK >>
Wait for unit to Power Down/Turn Off>>
Press Power button to turn the Printer On.
Check if it works or not... if it does not then service the product

Cartridge calibration pending in your printer. Put printed align page in to scanner and scan it.. ensure that mono & color cartridge should be in good healthy condition..

Wipe Down the Cartridge Contacts



Turn on the printer and open the cover where the ink cartridge is located. Remove the cartridge.

Remove the cartridge and use a clean, lint-free, dry cloth to gently wipe the contacts.

Wipe from the top of the contact to the bottom. Do this for each contact.

Place the HP ink cartridge back in the carriage. Turn the printer off for a minute.

Turn the HP printer on. Use the printer to print a test page. If this does not correct the problem, move onto Section 3.
Reset the HP Deskjet and Photosmart Printers

Turn on the HP Deskjet or Photosmart printer, open the cover and remove both the black and color cartridge. Close the cover.

Remove the power cord from the outlet and disconnect the cables running to the computer and/or router. Wait one minute, and then plug in the power cord and then the cables.

Open the cover and install the black and color ink cartridges. Turn the printer on.

Turn the HP printer on. Use the printer to print a test page. If this does not correct the problem, you will need to buy new ink cartridges. Office Max or Wal-Mart have ink cartridges for almost every model of HP Deskjet, Photosmart and Officejet printers.
Reset the HP Officejet and HP PSC All-in-one Printers

Turn on the Officejet or PSC all-in-one printers.

Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and wait one minute.

Plug the power cord back into the printer. Press the On button and hold until printer turns on.

Print a test page to see if this has fixed the problem. If not, you will need to buy a new color ink unit at any office supply store such as Office Max.

My printer hp psc 1350 keep on blinking check print catridge even after change new catridge both colour and black..how to settle?


Tried removing the cartridges again, then turn off you printer for 2 mins.

clean the print nozzles of the cartridges, turn the printer on
insert the cartridges again, then check if the problem persist.

You can also try to put the original cartridges that came with the printer
to isolate the problem, if it's really the ink cartridges.

Hp psc 2175 printer prints black fine and also yellow and blue color, but nothing prints in red. I have used both a refilled and a new (remanufactured) cartridge with same results. How can I get the red...


The hole he is referring to is probably the nozzle. Most of the HP all-in one's have this feature under the maintenance tab. Open control panel->Double click printers->Right-click on the HP PSC-> Click properties. Then click on the maintenance tab and click on the nozzle check option and insert a paper into the document feeder. The printer will check the nozzles and print different colors and patterns on the printer. Check to see if the printer is printing red and then post back on this thread with your results.

New tri-color cartridge has a problem. I can't see what.


I have an HP Photsmart C4100 printer. I purchased remanufactured ink cartridges (both black and tri-colored) from Vivasmart. The black one works fine, but when I installed the tri-color, I got an error message that says "Print cartridge problem" The following print cartridge has a problem:
Tri-color.
And I can't print. The screen on my printer says "Remove and check color cartridge." I have done this several times and it still won't print. I have turned off the power, removed the cartridges, and unplugged the unit, but it still didn't help. Any suggestions?
