GE Smart Water under sink dual water filters replaced. Very little water pressure. I have reinstalled them, no improvement. I have been replacing these filters for 5 years and have not encounerted this...

Hi jbboggeri,

Welcome to fixya!

I would go ahead and open the new set and install them. If you get pressure, you know the others were bad and can send them back for a refund.
If there is no change, you can always put them away and use them again later.

Please reply back and let me know how it went. Thanks,

I need a handle for the Smart Water System

Here is the web page for GE. You will probably have to replace the whole faucet. When you call have the model # available for your system so they can supply the appropriate faucet. You may as well order more filters as they will be less expensive ordering on-line. These filters should really be changed every 6 months.

These faucets are relatively easy to replace for the do it yourselfer.

I have a GE MWF water filter that is dripping water into the refrigerator. Fridge is about 8 yrs old and have changed many of the MWF water filters. 1st time with this problem.

Many times fines from these filters become dislodged and plug up the filter housing. If you have the bypass plug for the filter, install it and run a couple gallons of water through fridge to flush the system completely. The install the filter again. Make sure none of the water lines feeding fridge are pinched or kinked and valve is on all the way.

I have a whole house water filter that uses a 30 micron FXHSC filter. the last two filters have come apart and sent fiber through the water lines in the house

Hi,
I would shop around for a different water filter supplier...there is no reason ofr that happening unless you are not changing the filters regularly...like once a month...
most filters are a standard size and it should be easy to get them somewhere else...

Low water pressure is diminished after replaced 2 filters in a month. plumber tested to see if water is fully flowing.

Does this mean that you are now having the right pressure? Since the filters are changed, water should
now flow. Is it all systems go?, that is assuming that
your pipelines are not clogged.
