I am wanting to put my subs in the bed of my truck, how can I do this without rain or any other type of weather messing them up ?

Hello. Putting more speekers are a hassle. You will need to put them inside the cabin. You will need to get truck speeker boxes and they have to be the right size for the subs. You will also need to get the right kind of amp for them and the right kind of wires you will need. Good Luck.

Hi i trying to figure out how to wire up my rca's i have a pionner deck in on the back of it it has front output, rear output, sub output ,and also a audio output .now im trying to up it to a clarion eq that...

The "Front output" from the Pioneer deck would connect to the "Main In" on the Clarion EQ. I'm assuming that your Clarion EQ can only deal with one input, and will send the adjusted (equalized) signal out both of the outputs.
The "Front output" from the Clarion EQ should go to the "Front Input" on the 4 channel amp.
The "Rear output" from the Clarion EQ should go to the "Rear Input" on the 4 channel amp.
The "Sub output" from the Pioneer deck would connect to the Left/Right Input on the Epicenter. The Left/Right Output on the Epicenter would need a Y-splitter for each side, so that you could connect each amp separately. One suggestion would be to use one sub amp for both subs.

There are no RCA recivers on the rear of the deck. I am trying to hook up sub woofers, and not sure how to get sound to them. Can you help? Maybe there is a cable that converts to connect the two. I also...

you could convert the front or rear speaker wires to rca at the amp. by soldering on the rca plugs.if you converted the fronts then the front speakers would no longer work as you were taking the feed for them to the subs.

Im trying to run two kenwood 6/9,s and a mtx sledge hammer 12'' sub of a mtx 6004 amp.where do i put my rca,s front or rear / and if this is poss how do i bridge the sub ????? im lost

Im kind of confused with what exactly your asking. Are you trying to run 3 subs off of an amp? If so, the RCA's should go to the front of the amp, and if your plugging 3 subs in to it, you need to have a 3+ channel amp. There is a way to hook it up differently though. I have 4 12" Hifonics subs running off a 2400 watt Nitro-BMW-486 amp. I just have two subs running to each of the two channels.

Install amp in chevy hhr

First do you have an aftermarket stereo? If not you'll probably want to purchase one. You don't NEED to have an aftermarket unit, but i highly recommend it. Assuming you use an after market unit do this. First determine where you'll mount the amp, choose somewhere secure, and not in a tiny compartment. Once you've decided where you'll put it run a minimum 6gauge power wire from your battery to the amp location. Within 18in from the battery on that power wire, insert a 95-100 amp inline fuse. Next run a maximum 20in ground wire from the amp to a chassis ground(if none is there you'll have to make your own, just drill a hole in the aluminum and bolt the wire down)with also min 6gauge. Make sure all the paint around the hole is scraped off and has only bare metal. Next to connect your stereo to the amp, use RCAs. The back of your aftermarket unit will have RCA outputs, run RCA cables from these and plug them into the amp RCA inputs. Note: there's multiple outputs on the back of the headunit, use the one marked sub, or rear, assuming this amp is for subs. Next on the back of the head unit is a wire that is blue with a white stripe, connect this wire to the slot on the amp marked R.E.M. now just hook up your subs an listen to them plow!!!!!!!!!!!! side note when running your RCAs place them on the opposite side of the car from the power wire, this will avoid alternator whine in your subs.... good luck if you have questions please ask.

Jensen uv8 and amp hook up

Remote wire from Jensen is blue or blue/white. Use Blu/white if there is one. . RCA's, for subs, use the rear if no subwoofer pre-outs are available. If unit has sub pre-uts, use them as the head ubit (stereo) would have a level that can be raised or lowered thus giving you more control over the input to the sub amp.

How do i install a subwoofer and amplifier to an exhisting car audio system

Hi,

The basic would be to wire the sub amp to your batteries with the trigger/remote wire powered by your car stereo/head unit. When your head unit is turned on it will in turn power up the sub amp. Of course the sub woofer need to be wired to the amp. For the signal/audio wiring, normally, the head unit has a stereo RCA female connectors at the rear intended to be connected to external amps through a pair of shielded/audio cable terminated both ends with RCA males. Some units have a special RCA specifically for subs. Most eternal amps also uses RCA for their inputs.

If the existing car audio system has already an external amp and your plan is to add on to this, the audio/signal from the head unit could be split to provide both for the existing and the new sub amp.

If the existing car audio does not have an external amp and their are no RCA connectors at the rear of the head unit, it is still possible to connect an external/add on amp by using an adapter that connects to the speaker wires of the head unit and converting it out to line level (through RCAs) appropriate for the input of the amp.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. it would also be nice if you can post brand/model of your head unit and intended sub amp.

Good luck and kind regards.
