Paper feeder grabs several pieces of paper at once

The spot in which the paper is fed into could have a fence/blocker. Use wood or a little hunk of aluminum to only allow 1 sheet. You could get fandy and use a rod that could also be mounted on the font.Be crea8tive and good luck.

Paper jams in the feeder on the left side , tried to opentop cover does not allow me to open back. how do I GET THE ROLLER from curling the paper?

One reason for paper jams is due to some obstructions in the paper path. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Grab a flashlight and look into the paper feeder. Clear the feeder from any foreign objects or debris that could cause "curling" of the paper. If feeder is clear, open the printer cover and ensure the paper path is clear in the cartridge area.
Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, try to print again. If problem continues, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

There is something preventing the printer to grab the paper to keep it from printing. I have checked to make sure that nothing is inside there, and there isn't. It rolls like its going to print,...

Try to remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. If you are physically able and willing, carefully turn the printer upside down. Any foreign objects or debris that may have accidentally fallen into the feeder should just freely roll out of it. If feeder is clear, place the printer down. Open the printer cover and make sure the paper path in the cartridge area is free from obstructions. Close the printer cover. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reload some paper and try to print again.
If the problem continues, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for additional assistance.

Printer wont feed paper

Try to reset your printer. Unplug the power adapter from the printer. printmastert_40.jpg

Wait at least 10 sec before replugging the adapter to the printer. Try to print again. If that doesn't help, there could be something in the feeder that's blocking the paper path. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder and grab a flashlight and look inside.

@my Lexmark says there is a paper jam but I find no paper anywhere!!?????

There could be some sort of foreign object that accidentally fell into the paper feed system. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Grab a flashlight and take a look into the feeder for any debris. If you're willing and capable, carefully turn the printer upside down. Any foreign objects in the feeder should just freely roll out from it. If none, open the cartridge area and remove the cartridges. Check inside for any foreign objects that could cause this problem. If none, close the cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on and looks for the cartridges, reinsert it. Load some paper. Try to print again. If problem continues, it could be a possible hardware problem. Please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

I cant get the machine to grab the paper and it says its out of paper, yet its not out of paper.

Hi, the Ip3000 has 3 different feeding trays...
make sure that the printer is trying to "grab" the paper in the tray that you have chosen to use in the printer properties box...
when you give the print command can you see the rubber roller moving to grab the paper in the top feeder tray???
if the roller that feeds the printer is not moving you may have accidentally changed the settings to grab paper from the bottom tray...the one right under the door that opens to let printed pages out of the printer...
the 3rd feeder tray is the DVD/CD printing tray...
I suggest that you look at the printer Properties for remedial action...
hope this helps you with your problem...
cheers
haitchhcee
p.s.
suggest you place paper in the bottom tray before making adjustments to see if it is trying to grab the paper from there...

Information on how to use rear feed

1. Prepare your doc/file for printing.
2. Insert card stock with narrow side of stock in slot in back of printer until it hits rollers and stops. Don't force in any card stock thicker than max. rated.
3. Change printer setup to feed from rear.
4. Print.

Depending on what software you print from, you may need to change this each time you print if you intend to keep printing from that "tray."

Lexmark Z52 won't feed paper

You can try to clean it by using a blower maybe there are some debris stuck on the paper feeder assembly. But if its evident that the rubber of the paper feeder is worn out already then probably needs a replacement. but this parts are sold as one assembly it might cost you a lot.

My MP510 grabs way to many sheets of paper.

hi i am a Canon certified repair tech for this printer. it seems that your problem is due to a broken sheet feeder unit. what i ahve seem with some new machines is that a plastic shaft that controls ther seperation of the pages breaks. most of these problems occurs with new machine because they are shipped from place to place. if the unit is under a year old it is still under warrenty and can be brought to or shipped to a repair center. even if its not under warrenty any longer you should still call Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON and complain that it has been doing it since you bought it and they will locate the nearest repair center to your location for you. hope this helps.
