If the NIC card is built-in you need to buy a seperate NIC card that can be inserted to the PCI-e slots of your computer's motherboard

SOURCE: no sound card

go to www.hp .com then to the "drivers" link at the top of the site. put in your " model # " located on the back of your computer tower ex: (a305w). then select your operating system. look for the driver "realtek" (i may have spelled that wrong) click the install link. after you've installed the driver restart your computer. then you should have sound. thanks

SOURCE: were can i get a vidio card and sound card and

If you need drivers, they are available at the hp website, if your computer really doesn't have a sound card or a video card then you would need to buy them from a shop and install them inside the computer, one shop for example is www.newegg.com

If you have the devices then you need the drivers instead not something to put inside your computer.

Drivers are available on the linked page above this text.

SOURCE: have an hp a305w pavillion powers up but nothing

Disconnect all cables, remove all cards and memory. Reinstall one stick of ram, power cord, video cable and keyboard. If that works reinstall other components one at a time. I found a hp a1600n at the dump. Brought it home, had same problem, tried this. A memory stick was loose. Resetting it fixed it. I am typing on it now. You might try the memory first. A chip could have gone bad.Are you using the board video or a video card?

How to replace video card in hp pavilion a305w

Your desktop has integrated video. You cannot replace it, but you can buy an expansion card and install it. Your pc should have 2 free PCI slots for this. Unless you have installed something else. Just get a PCI video card.

No sound card

Right click 'My Computer' choose Properties, Click on the hardware tab, then click Device Manager. Find your device, possibly under Multimedia Controller or Unknown device. Once you found the device that is your soundcard, right click it and choose Update Driver. Choose Advanced install and "Specify driver location" Then browse to the directory you extracted the contents of the file you downloaded from HP. Follow the prompts and if it is the correct driver you will have sound.

HP Pavillion automatically restarts after shutdown

indication of a failing power supply??? I dont think so.
more like a driver is corrupt or better yet have the on board nic card set to turn on, is there a plug that has wire attached to the nic card, unplug those and see what happens.
