Question about ASUS Eee PC 701 Notebook
Try blowing the dust and dirt off of the keyboard and especially off of the area on the 4/$ key.
Also if you can take the key off and wipe it down with a damp cloth then that may take away any dirt that coult be affecting the main board underneath that key.
If that doesn't work then the keyaboard is defective and you need to replace it.
