Question about Sony KP-57HW40 57" Rear Projection Television
Sony has a built-in set of error codes that help in determining what's wrong. Count the number of flashes before a slight pause and then it will repat the flashes over and over... A set of six flashes, pause and six more would indicate possibly Q8027 and D8021 possibly bad... Common problem with these sets
The most common "dead" problem in this unit is the "D" board which is Sony p/n# A-1348-038-A and costs about $185.00 dollars plus a core charge and shipping.
It would however help tremendously if we knew how many blinks it was putting out for the error code
Hope this helps.
