Question about Mitsubishi WT-46807 46" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Sound, no picture

We sold our WT-46807 to some one we know. It worked fine for two days. On the third day, when they turned it on, to sound came on but they could not get a picture. We never had any problems with the set before. I feel sooooooo bad and don't know if we should refund some money or not. Could the set have been damaged during transportation? It was driven 5hours laying on it's back

Volume up then pic gone

You've got a bad solder connection,or broken foil line,s on the pcb (printed circuit board1.gif).Narrow it down by pressing in different places,or use plastic or rubber tip.If not, then you got a shorted load on this fuse and you have a schematic, whats at the end's of this circuit.D represents a <Diode> not a transistor.

if you do you may have some bad caps or there is a 5volts regulator that goes bad sometimes and you get no picture.

Burnout ? wt-46807

There could be a Pip problem or the vertical sweep could have went out also so then the set shuts down the video so it does not burn a line across the tubes. Theres really no way to tell what is wrong or it would just be a guess, a shot in the dark. Call out an authorized repair depot and get an estimate. Good Luck
