10 months ago? Do have any warranty on this?
As far as adding refrigerant. Yes - you can add some - but you need to fix the leak first, since it will be quite expensive to keep putting refrigerant in. I would first try to get the mfc repair it and if that fails I would call a serviceperson.
note: fixing a leak and re-charging the system is going to take someone 'very' knowledgable of air conditioners.
good luck!

My compaq notebook is overheating then switching off. It is only 10 months old.

the problem may be with ur fan unit or heat sink. which is not providing sufficient cooling. as ur PC is 10 months old it is under warranty. so better take it to nearest service centre or call customer service - 1800112267 (BSNL/MTNL lines within India), 30306363, 011 26388000

Have a Maytag side by side with ice maker...it quit making ice within 3 months of installation. Had one repair man look at it...said that it was a common problem w/ Maytag...hit ice maker with his fist a...

Assuming it's not still under warranty, I would probably replace the icemaker components inside the freezer.

The repairman's "fix" indicates that there is some kind of problem with the "brains" of the icemaker. It would probably not be cost effective to try to diagnose and fix the problem.

Blower no cool

Chances are the tech said it was a "capacitor".
That is one of the few (and minor) parts that routinely go bad and would be no suprise with a 17 month old unit. Nearby lightening strikes or power surges can cause them to fail. That is true with all brands.

(the condensor is the entire outdoor unit)

Goodman systems typically come with a 1 year all parts warranty, and a 10 year compressor warranty.

Since your unit is 17 years old the capacitor is not under warranty. (unless you purchased an extended warranty plan of some kind.)

$90 is reasonable compared to the typical going rate for a capacitor replacement and service call.

Plugged in not charging

Is the laptop still under warranty, if so get it repaired under warranty. If you try and fix it yourself you most likely would void your warranty. Power problem are quite common with laptops especially with the power socket on the laptop and the power plug which plugs into the power socket. These problems can be fixed, but I suggest you try to get yours fixed under warranty.

I have a 50" zenith 10 months i can hear how can i fix this

If the unit is only 10 months old, it should still be under manufacturer's warranty. Call and request warranty service. DO NOT open up the unit as that would void the warranty.

Keep us posted on what is found.

Thanks,
Dan
