Try unplugging your wii console's AC adapter for your wall outlet to reset it didn't correct this, then if you can, try using/borrowing another AC adapter and see if perhaps the power surge blew the fuse that is inside of it.

But if your Wii console still will not power up, then you will have to call Nintendo's 1-800-255-3700 (6 am ~ 7 pm Pacific, everyday) Customer Service number to set up a repair, as the power surge may have damaged something in your console.

Either 1) Your AC adapter needs to be reset or 2) Your AC Adapter is bad.

Most power issues with the Wii can be fixed by resetting the AC adapter. You can easily reset the AC adapter by following these steps:
Unplug the Wii AC adapter at both ends (from the back of the Wii system and from the wall outlet or power strip).

The AC adapter must remain unplugged at both ends for a full 2 minutes.

After you've waited 2 minutes, plug the AC adapter into the Wii system and directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector or power strip. If the power light comes on and stays on, then it appears resetting the AC Adapter worked.

If it's not working, you can get a *new* NINTENDO brand AC adapter at the following

Wii power problems ...ty in advance

you may have burn the game with wrong voltage and now it wont work until you send it to repair internally. you must have fried the internal circuit board.

or you have a faulty ac adapter, take your wii to your friend house and try with her ac adapter.

Not even a red light on Wii

Try a different power outlet and if that doesn't work reseat the ac adaptor into the Wii.

If that still doesn't work, try another known working ac adaptor and if the Wii still doesn't turn on then that means that the Wii has a bad main board and you'll need to replace the Wii or have it sent in for service if its still under warranty.

Wii console don't have any power

If you have no lights, no activity, nothing at all, totally dead. Then try another ac adaptor in a known working outlet and see if it powers up, if it does power up then you know your original ac adaptor is bad.

If it still doesn't power up with a new adaptor then there is a problem with the main board inside of the Wii and the board would need to be repaired or if you have warranty left on it, get the system replaced.

What will happen if it is plugged into a 220 volt AC

Hi there, it depends where you got your Wii from.

if your Wii was from japan or another country which uses only a 110v AC power supply then you could have either blown some fuses inside the wii or at worse you could have fried some of the internals.

First of all find out which adapter you where supplied with, check the voltage rating on the adaptor. if it is a 110v adaptor then you may need to have your Wii replaced.

Hope this helps
