Question about Roper RAS8445KQ Top Load Washer
Sounds like an overheating problem with the motor. Does the washer sit on carpeted floor or lenolium/hrd floor? The motors of today are thermally protected, so when they overheat they stop till they cool down enough to turn themselves back on. You should have at about one inch clearance under the washer so air can flow underneath to help keep motor cool. If the clearance is not the reason then I still think your motor is overheating. When it shuts off can you try another cycle to see if it's not in the timer? If you get no response then I would say for sure you have excessive heat of the motor.
