I have a Kenmore washer 80 series 110 model 110. 92581210 Its lid itch went out many years back so it was hard wired in. Now the washer will come on and fill and agitate but when timer gets to spin and drain water ,the machine just sits there. What could the problem be....pump or clutch or motor? Please help I would appreciate a part number with diagnoses too please. Thank you,

To bypass the switch, you only have to disconnect the power to the washer, tilt the console back, unplug the switch and using an short piece of insulated wire, jump the two outermost contacts on the connector coming from the console and plug the washer back in.
Following is a description of how to gain access to the console and how to remove the cabinet if necessary.
lid switch may be bad located on top housing at hinge side of lid if you know what youre doing you could jumper swith and see if it works unplug washer while electric contacts are exposed abd plug back in to test
You need to replace the Kenmore Washer Lid Switch. I had the same problem so being lazy I would just push down on the washer's lid and it would push the lid switch further down. making the water drain. after a while I just replaced the lid switch.
BAD LID SWITCH,YOU CAN REPLACE IT OR BY PASS IT,REMOVE THE 2 CONSOLE HEAD SCREWS ONE ON EACH SIDE,FLIP THE TOP UP,YOU WILL SEE THE LID SWITCH JACK,YOU CAN CUT THE 2 OUTSIDE WIRES AND PUT THEM TOGETHER WITH A WIRE NUT AND PLUG BACK IN,YOU HAVE NOW BY PASSED THE LID SWITCH AND YOUR GOOD TO GO-MIKE
unless your washer is over 20 years old, then it wont have a belt. the temperature of the water wont have anything to do with it spinning or not. need to know if it agitates or drains and just wont spin. if it agitates but no spin or drain, then you have a bad lid switch. if it wont agitate or spin, but will drain, then you have a broken drive coupling.
