You could have a faulty video card or video cable or connector.
To determine if you have a faulty video card, connect an external monitor to the video port on the laptop, power up the monitor first then boot up the laptop. If you don't get a normal Windows image the the video card is faulty, its part of the motherboard and expensive to replace.
If you get a normal Windows image then the video card is OK and the fault is the LCD screen. Reseat the video cable and or the video connector on the motherboard.
If this doesn't fix your problem then it needs to be serviced.
Have a look at LCD Parts, they have a repair service and DIY info.
Use this link to get to their WEB site.

How to fix Multi color Vertical Lines on a Vizio E470i-AO TV

Does the menu function display the same lines? What kind of cables are using ? (HDMI, Component vid, S-video, co-ax)
Were you as tenacious checking all cables/connections as you were the electronics? Lets rule out this all too often over-looked possibility.
Do you still get the lines with nothing connected to the TV? (no source connected)

How to reset nokia mobiles life timer to ''0''

Nokia life timer is a counter that keeps track of the Total call time of your phone. It will show how much the phone has been used, and it?s the best thing to check if you?re planning to buy a used Nokia Mobile.
To see the Total Call Time or the life timer counter, On the standby screen type the following code *#92702689# (Easy way to remember this is ? *#war0anty#). And it will pop up a message that shows the life timer in hours and minutes.

Here is a detailed procedure to make this life timer zero.

REQUIREMENTS:
The following files are required to reset the life timer:
  1. Nemesis service suite link: Download from Here
  2. lifetimer.pm file: Download Here
PROCEDURE:
1. Download and Extract the lifetimer.pm file, and Download Nemesis Service Suite.

2. Install Nemesis Service Suite on your Computer, It won?t take much time.(select the first option)

3. Install Nokia Cable Drivers (No need to install, if you have Nokia PC Suite already installed)

4. Connect The Phone in ?PC Suite? Mode to the PC

10. Click the ?Write? button on Below right, and open the Extracted lifetimer.pm file on your PC.

11. After the lifetimer.pm file is opened , it will immediately start writing it to the Phone?s EEPROM Area.

12. The Procedure will end when the progress bar reaches 20%. This is normal , and on the bottom right side, it will display its done.

13. Unplug the Phone, and Restart it.

14. After boot up, Check the life timer .

Caution:
  • Power Failure During Writing will cause damage to the Phone, And there is a chance that it might brick the phone as well.

Vertical lines jumping across screen

If the double image is in a differant color, then its your convergence IC's that need replacement. This is not a job for the unexperienced person. If you have no electronic repair experience, please seek out a pro to assist you in this repair. There are two IC's, about 3"X5" that are black in color and have STK with several numbers following them. Good Luck PS please dont forget to rate this thread.
