Question about Sony KV-27FS13 27" TV
I have a problem where the right hand side of the picture bends in, the gap at its widest is approx 3inches, after a while the set switches itself onto standby mode. If you switch it off and back on again it will work for a short
while before doing the same again. As the set warms up so the shorter time the set stays on.
Please if you can tell me if this is a serious problem or something simple
Define serious and simple.. Just teasing... John what you have is called a pincushion problem. In that particular model I'd check the following:
If you're not too technically inclined try this. Remove the main board, called the "A" board. Take pictures if you have too to refer to later when you re-install the board. So you know where all the wires go. Then carefully box it up and send it in to tri state module.. For approximately $129.00 plus your shipping costs getting it to them they will rebuild the board and ship it back with a one-year warranty. Re-install the baord and problem solved.
On the other hand, knowing that Tri State will rebuild it for that cost call a few shops and ask what they charge for repairing the pincushion problem, can't hurt.
Tri State's web is: http://www.tristatemodule.com/
