This sounds like a common issue. The boot manager file "NTLDR" Can become corrupt or go missing due to a few situations.
1) Shut down improperly
2) Virus
3) Bad hard disk
4) Windows being windows.
Too fix this simply use a windows 7 cd and boot from it.
Choose the Repair option and let it do its thing. If i recall there's also a repair startup option you can use aswell.
Windows repair usually fixes the problem but if that doesnt work you can also put the hard disk into another computer and copy over replacement boot loader files.
""

  • ntldr, the main boot loader itself
  • NTDETECT.COM, required for booting an NT-based OS, detects basic hardware information needed for successful boot
  • ""
Try that. The windows repair usually works but if you have to use the alternative and it doesnt work it could be your MBR. Windows repair also fixes this but theres an old command you can run from the dos shell of the cdrom "mbrfix or fixmbr" That will take care of it.
    Good Luck :)

I have the hp pavilion dv6 1355dx before...i could connect the hdmi cord flawlessly..but now i tried recently nothing comes up on the television...please help

Turn the pc on and boot it up with the HDMi cable connected. Sometimes you need to have them preconnected before you boot other times windows (vista/7) will recognize it. If this still does nto work try a new cable and or port on the tv. if still nothing then you probably damaged your hdmi port on the pc from either shock or wear.

I have HP-Pavilion DV6 3017TU notebook PC running Windows 7. Does Windows Xp can be installed in HP-Pavilion DV6 3017TU if i remove Windows 7?

I don't think this will work, there are no drivers available for XP on that Notebook. Experience tells me also, that HP is very restricted in delivering drivers for not supported OS. Remember XP is out of Support, so a vendor needs no more support for such OS.
