Hello. i can help. if you have propane but you can not get the pilot to light your thermocouple needs to be replaced. this is a common item available at any hardware store.

You need to check your tanks and make sure that you have enough gas. The heater will need 30% or more in the tanks. If they changed the gas valve I assume that you had a natural gas valve and they replaced with a LP. If your tanks are small then you will only get a couple of days out of them. On this I would need more info. Size of tank size of pool (surface aera) wind conditions, exact model of heater.
First ck to be sure that you have enough gas and be sure to bleed the line before you start once the tanks are full. Let me know how you do. Kieran
millivolt heaters generate their own power from the flame on the pilot max is usualy 750 millivolt, check all connections clean and secure.
Mmake sure the pilot is lit
check the high-limit switches. Under the inlet/outlet header. if either is open it will not allow you to fire up. my 150 degree switch was corroded and after jump9ng out, bam it worked.
