Hi Friends, First of all HDD inducted connection, No any - or + option. simple hdd and cable same option given. If you are - to +, or + to - connection may be you HDD damage. So you check it you HDD wall conduction or not. If wall status then you change HDD cable and port and open bios and see you HDD show or not. change you SMPS power connector used different port connector. Nest problem is Display not then you check SMPS proper power comming, No any beep sound in PC, RAM, etc. Finally Change HDD and then check it. Thanks..
check the power conector is firmly connected to hdd or change the power conector to another one which is free loose contact in the power wont run the hdd change the ide connector or sata with a new one place ur hand on the hdd and feel wether the hdd is running if not change the power conector still not runnunig change ur hdd to new one also look ide slot in the motherboard and the hdd for bend pin or broken leads
You have to change your hdd or replace it and trying to add another one then you have to change your RAM. In addiion you have to change your os, for this you have to install in computer as windows XP .
Re-seat the memory and the HDD connector. If no change try the mem modules one by one. If no change try it without the HDD connected to see if there is a problem with the new HDD.
You didn't tell what happen to your HDD after you set the jumper?...what to your HDD?..is it not detect?..Have you tried to change your IDE CABLE, instead changing the jumper settings to you HDD?..
