It is either a dead battery a poor connection or a bad silinoid. The most likely is a bad connection. Check all connections on positive and negative wires from the battery and silinoid.

Mercury outboard 115 hp - tilt and trim not working, engine will not start. 2 new batteries, all other accessories working except the stereo.

Does the engine crank? Sounds like it is possibly a bad ground somewhere. I would also check the voltage to your batteries and see what they are reading. Just because they are new does not mean that something is not draining the battery.

Have 115 Hp mercury outboard motor missing at full throttle and on idle. At mid throttle it is running fine. Any Idea what the problem could be. Thanks, Milton

Have your spark plugs changed AND carbs cleaned and adjusted.
Usually that can also be caused by a seized advance system ( plate under the flywheel, commanded to turn with the throttle linkage... )

I have a maintainance manual for this engine (I have the same one) with pages of wiring diagrams. What specific system/area are you interested in, I could scan in the page(s) and email them to you.
