Could be bad heat element. Lift top of dyer, or look from back side with access panel removed, or look thru door if glass door while dryer is running on a heat cycle. You should be able to see red glow of heat element coming on. If not then you will need to open up dyer and remove drum. Inspect heat element for break in coil or coils touching each other or metal frame of dryer. You can also use an ohm meter and read the restence of the coil ...should be just a couple of ohms.
If it is a bad coil you should be able to replace fairly easy. If it is not coil than you will need to check themistor or cycle control switch. Hope this helps.

My amana dyer not heat. i checkall the thermostat an have continueded. but before wock fine. you think is electrical problem in the house.

Since I am not there, I can't be sure if it in the house wiring or the problem is in your machine, BUT since you say that you checked the thermostat with a meter you should be able to check both the continuity of the heating element and also if the house electrical outlet, is right. I would start with the electrical outlet and if that is okay then move on to checking the heating element. It is most likely the heating element which is part #503978.

Model LEQ6000ES Affinity Frigidaire electric dyer purchased 5-29-06: tumbles but won't heat. Cleaned all air ducts and lint trap and still won't heat. Error codes not obvious. What else can we check?

you will need to check the main power and make sure there is 220 volts at the termianl block if that is goor then you will need to check the heating element an all thermal fuses.

remove the small panel in the back of the dryer so you can get the belt loose.
then remove the lid.Take out the four screws that hold the control panel in place.
then remove the screws that hold the front panel on and then remove the drum lift up on the back of the drum to get it loos e from the carrier bearing holder thenyou can get to the heating element and thermal fuse on the back wall of the dryer and the side wall of the heating element can.

Amana dyer model ale956eaw, won't heat up, all

if all other operations of your dryer are ok possibly your heater element or thermostat are faulty also there may be damaged wiring you will need to look closer and own a multi meter to check properly keep me informed of how you went

Replaced therostate dyer still dose not heat up

check your heating element for being open, then the hi-limit switch, then carefully inspect all electrical connections around the element case for burns and brittle wiring, also chk neutral at the terminal block on input power and at element case for a solid connection

Dyer is not heating turns on and runs but it just does not heat up i took off hose and clean . also looked in back of dyer by taking off clover to look for fuse please help .

Kenmore dryers have what we call a thermo fuse, usually on top on the burner area - I would check continuity on this unit and replace if nesessary.
If the thermo fuse is okay and dryer heats up with gas, check your igniter and/or gas unit coils.
If dryer heats up with electric elements check continuity at both element ends and/or high limit thermostat.

Where is the fuse?

The fuse is located in the dryer fan/blower wheel cover and is a one time fuse, which means it is not resettable. I did a look up for the kenmore model # that you gave and I cannot find your model listed. If you go to and do a search for your dryer you will be able to see all the drawings on your dryer. You will be able to find the replacement part # and how to get to it. Test your fuse to check if it is open if it is, then replace the fuse. There is also a temperature sensor on the back wall of the dyer drum (it is a small metal circle close to the exhaust outlet). Sometimes there is simply a build up of fabric softener residue on them that stops the dryer from heating up. Clean the sensor with an alcohol wipe.
Hope this helps and don't forget to get all the lint out of the dryer before putting it back in service.
