Printer will not print

My HP J4550 printer will not print. It keeps saying Refer to device document. Tri-Color Cartridge problem. But the device is relatively new. Could I already need cartridges? The little "!" exclamation light icon on the printer keeps flashing! This will not allow me to proceed

Hi Joacaba1!

check first if the cartridge is the right cartridge for the model of your print.
The cartridge should be labeled for HPJ4550.
if not, you may need a new cartridge fit for your printer model.

but if the cartridge is already labeled for HPJ4550,
Try removing the cartridge and place it back again.
if it still didn't work you may also uninstall and install the printer software program.

Ink cartrige problem


This is error is common after a cartridge is refilled, in most cases it's because of "bad refill" and we can also say "dead cartridge". If possible, Please try the cartridge on another printer or try your printer with another cartridge. (i hope you know what tri color mieans = the color cartridge). Make sure the cartridge is not overflowing or leaking. Clean if possible, and never touch the print head, if you ever did so there's no way to make it work again. Hope this helps. hi i dont have the tricolor cartridge in my hp 5610 and i want to work only with black cartridge and my printer says there is no cartridge on the left , is it posible to solve this problem and work with one cartridge only ? i can print but copy and fax doesnt work . thanx

i think i run out of ink[or color.whatever the stuff in there is called]
so i will buy a new one and try to see if it fix the problem
