If the fan blade on your air conditioner has a ring that runs around the outer perimeter of the fan blades, then the unit was designed to operate in this way. These units use the evaporation of this water to improve their efficiency. It really should not be getting much on the motor though. The water is supposed to be thrown on the condenser to help cool it. If there is only a small amount of water getting on the motor it shouldn't be a problem.Just be sure your unit has a good ground which it should if all the prongs on the plug are intact.

Water leak

One drop of normal dish soap will cause suds that foam over the water pan and appear to be a water leak. Improper dish arrangement can cause the spray to deflect and splash out of the water pan also...these leaks will be intermittent depending on usage. No dishwasher is water-tight, there is always a gap at the bottom of the door, if neither of these scenarios seem to fit: inspect where the water supply connects to the water inlet valve. If this is dry, look for water stains on the motor and floor to give you an idea of where the water is coming from. there is a gasket around the entire pump and motor assembly that can dry-out with age, and if all these bear no fruit, dis-install the machine and inspect the drain hose from front to back.

I don't know what type of heller air con I have but for the second time now it's started dripping water inside does anyone know how I can fix it

The tube that drains water out of the drain pan is plugging up. You have to disassemble the AC unit cabinet to get inside to clean out the drain pan and drain tube. You might as well clean the evaporator and condenser coils too. Spray with Fantastik cleaner and rinse with water. Also put some oil into the small tube for the shaft on the fan motor. If no small tube, then put oil on the shaft where it enters the fan motor.

I need to stop water from getting on the floor of the freezer?

If your refrigerator is frost-free, water may not be draining into the evaporator pan underneath. The drain tube may be clogged.

Air conditioner not draining

Hello, some window units do not use a drain tube instead they use the condenser fan blade to scoop the condensate from the bottum of the base pan and splash the condenser coil to keep the condenser cool and also evaporate the condensate. Most of the time you can hear a "swishing sound" If the unit has a drain but is not draining then there could be a blockage that needs to cleaned.

The water is normal....however the evap motor and fan should be drying the water before it overflows. THe evap fan motor may need replaced. You will have to pull the unit from the wall and take the back panel off or tilt the unit back towards the wall and go in from the underneath side. As far as the door might need to tighten or replace one of the hinges.

I have a freidrich model cp24e30 ariconditioner I just installed. Where is the drainage plug located

On the condenser / outside left rear corner about 4 incues in from the corner and left side as you look at it there is a punch out hole in the drain pan. The newer AC Units are designed to use the plastic fan blade of the condenser fan to splash water on the condenser and evaporate the water. Most of the time it is not necessary to open this drain hole unless you live in a damp climate where the home constantly has a higher internal humidity percentage. It is however necessary to have the unit serviced at regular intervals for coil and fan cleaning due to the fact that dust becomes a caked up goo over time especially on the condenser coil and the 2 fans.

If you feel that you need to open the hole in the drain pan trhen you will also need to install the 3 X 5 inch external drain catch basin with 3 screws and possibly connect an external drain hose and piping.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Water on floor under washer

re; water under washer.
The ammount of water is from 1/4 to 1 cup after an individual load. It only became noticable reciently, after the last 3 or 4 heavy loads, using the manual setting on next to the top level. There is an automatic function, but due to the dirt and grit in the jeans I use manual.
