Toner tank fault keep coming up with CLX3185??

It probably has a reset chip or fuse that would need to be replaced

assuming the toner coverage per print isnt excessive , the problem could be any of the following,
toner - have you used 3rd party toner ( compatibles, remanufactured) - if yes - you could have put the developer toner ratio out of spec- fix by replacing developer tank AND toner.
if no - is there any blockage in the toner transfer pipe between toner cartridge and developer tank/ is the pipe split leaking toner if all looks ok , test the toner pump using the service commands., if toner is moving ok the problem must lie in the dev tank - the fix is still to replace the dev tank - good news is its plug and play comes with instructions on fitting and setting up .

Clean the polygon motor lens,located after imaging unit/toner cartridge unit( one black box).

Got one clx 3185fn printing black only. even press color copy button.
Cartridges are new. Please advise.

for reset image transfer roller, fuser follow below mentioned procedure:
1.open front door> menu #1934 menu> tech mode>data setup>clear count> password--1934> clear counts,image transfer roller, fuser etc.

you should replace the yellow.

There is a lot of faults that cause the red light to turn on, toner cartridge empty, waste toner tank full, paper jam, imaging unit replacement, etc. The only real way to know what the problem the printer is seeing is to use the smartpanel utility on your PC. It will show you what the printer is reporting and how to correct it. Hope this helps you.

run your Smart Panel and check what is the fault that is being detected.

If all the color toner had been replace. what about the OPC & waste toner tank?

note. Please replace the waste toner tank once it is full do not reuse the same waste toner tank. as it will course the internal of the printer to be spread with waste toner and your print out will be dirty and patches.

The sensor for the waste toner tank is dirty or defective. The toner sensor is on the right as you look at the panel just below the liquid crystal display. There is a bump in the clear plastic just below the circular right vent port, that's where the used toner pours in. When you clean out the toner cartridge there is some residue left that makes the sensor think it's still full. Take a piece of paper towel and a small screwdriver (I'm told a bent coat hanger will work, too) and clean the inside of the sensor window inside the used toner cartridge (w/ access through the toner port). It looks like a little raised groove on the right. Just wipe it until it's clear on the inside. The sensor can now see through the window and you should be okay. Otherwise, the sensor may need to be replaced by an authorized Samsung technician. Let me know how it works out!
