This is the electronics on the machine reacting to a fault .the electronic has detected an electrical component fault .for example a motor gone short circuit you can only find out what by testing the components with a suitable test meter or by acessing the machines own diagnostic facility and retrieving the error code .if cant test with a meter you need the manufacturers service engineer

My zanussi washer zwh6160 p stopped working yesterday. It stopped with a load in it. We gad to manually drain it, then git the door open. We cleaned the filter and inlet pipe filter. We switched it on

Considering that machine did not show any error first check that is not activated option "rinse hold" what mean's "stop drum with full of water". I advise you to make a simple test that will show you where the problem is. In the washing machine or somewhere else. Disconnect the drain hose and lift it up to 1m in height and its end hold over the tub or some larger container. Select short drain program and press the start / pause button. If drain hose ejects a solid water stream then is a problem in-house installation of drain water. If does't or poorly drain water then is problem in the washing machine.

Indesit iwb5113 keeps filling up

The water level in your, and most other, washing and dishwashing machines is controlled by an air pressure switch that senses water level by the rising air pressure compressed in the pressure, (level), switch body itself. This air pressure is usually transmitted by a thin rubber tube on the bottom of the washing machine drum, or sump hose. As the water gets higher in the drum, air is compressed in the level switch until it operates, and turns the fill valves off. The pressure switch is always mounted at the top of the washing machine cabinet - look for a circular switch with the thin rubber or plastic tube fitted into the bottom. What can happen is if the rubber tube rubs against moving parts in the washer, it can get a hole worn in it - so the air does not compress and the water doesn't turn off.. You will have to examine the tube very carefully to find holes like this. Alternatively, the tube could have come off, or blocked with limescale at the bottom end - try removing the tube at the pressure switch end and blowing through it - any blockage must be removed. A last, rare, possibility is the rubber diaphragm in the pressure switch is leaking - but very very rare. Most modern machines have an electronic backup that measures fill time in case the pressure switch fails. If your machine floods, it doesn't have this.

Anussi ZWD 1271W stops at beginning of program

Hi,

Did you fix this problem? We have the same with Zanussi ZWD 1472 W. It takes some water and stops after 2 minutes. We need to shut machine down and fill water manually. It works fine then.

Washer stops after fill

You should control the pressure switch on the machine. It is a circular object on the top of the machine, and it is connected to the drum with a thin hose. Remove the hose from drum and blow the the hose, you shuld hear 2 or 3 ticking sound from the switch. If you can not hear, change it with a new one. Also clean the thin hose, it can be blocked by detergent.
