Okay, saying the patch sensor is not enough, if the guy new where it was he would clean it. To clean the patch sensor, remove the drum unit and look inside the machine and up to see a white strip running from the front to the back of the machine. The patch sensore is located along this strip and should be cleaned with a lint free cloth.

The patch reader that reads the drum is either fault or you need a new drum
