The previous solution about pressing the off button the down arrow button didn't work the first time I tried. Later I tried it but this time I held the off button and down arrow keys down continually for a bout 8 seconds. It shut off. Now that is the ONLY way I can turn it off... but at least I can now!

I had the same problem. I found my solution by chance. After starting switching off process by using OFF button, press and hold arrow key which is looking down. (Please let us know if it worked for you, too)

thats the exact same problem with mine,resetting it and formatting it doesnt work either.its really doing my head in.if you get it sorted rosie tell me how to fix it please.thanx

i'd say either give it some time, send it to the manufacturer, or get a replacement. cause it sounds like it's too much of a headache to try to fix. sounds like it's seeing it's last days.

all you have to do is to get a pin out of a sewing kit or from somewhere else, and find the reset button on your mp3 player and press it whit the pin, and it should be sorted. if this does not work then leave your mp3 player until the battery has died, and then charge it up and it should be sorted.
