Is the volume low even when you feed other equipment into the sockets on the back besides using the inbuilt tuner? If it is, it may well be in hotel mode, this mode is only used in hotels where the volume is limited so that it won`t annoy other residents within the complex and since a lot of TV`s nowadays employ other manufacturers parts to keep costs down, it`s worth investigating. I had a philips TV for repair once, I changed the output chip, electronic volume control chip etc, It drove me mad only to find that it was in Hotel mode. I can`t remember exactly how to get into this mode but it`s well worth looking in the manual just in case something has been pressed inadvertently. The philips were accessed by putting the TV on channel 38, adjusting the volume to the level required and then pressing the OK. I may be barking up the wrong tree but you never know, It`s just a thought and definitely worth looking down this avenue first, Ian
