Is the volume low even when you feed other equipment into the sockets on the back besides using the inbuilt tuner? If it is, it may well be in hotel mode, this mode is only used in hotels where the volume is limited so that it won`t annoy other residents within the complex and since a lot of TV`s nowadays employ other manufacturers parts to keep costs down, it`s worth investigating. I had a philips TV for repair once, I changed the output chip, electronic volume control chip etc, It drove me mad only to find that it was in Hotel mode. I can`t remember exactly how to get into this mode but it`s well worth looking in the manual just in case something has been pressed inadvertently. The philips were accessed by putting the TV on channel 38, adjusting the volume to the level required and then pressing the OK. I may be barking up the wrong tree but you never know, It`s just a thought and definitely worth looking down this avenue first, Ian

At low volume it is fine after you get to about 20 on the volume it starts to crack, pop and distort very bad what is making this happen

Your speakers may say 350 watts but that is the peak wattage at which they blow up and not a wattage they can sound distortion free at. Look for the RMS wattage which is probably around 40 watts. If you look at the specs on your receiver you will see it will put out a maximum of about 50 watts but the distortion on the receiver is above 1 percent at anything over 22 watts. That means they are going to start distorting at around half volume. The other thing you might check for is a impedance mismatch between the speakers and the receiver. Is the receiver set up for an impedence output of 8 ohms but your speakers are 4 ohms impedance.

Percent error

The difference is 7.59 - 6.7 = 0.89 in the low or minus direction.

Taking the correct value as the basis, the error is
0.89 / 7.59 x 100 = 11.73% low

This may be quoted as - 11.73% of true value

Sound plays but very low volume even if plug to speakers and amplifier and full volume, you hardly hear anything. Hoping for a solution. Regards,

right click on the speaker icon in the system tray on the bottom right side of the screen and then click to open the volume mixer then make the speaker sound level to 100 %.

or go to the control panel from there click on the sound or speaker icon to open it after that go to properties and then make the volume level to 100%.

This should help to fix the problem.

My volume is not working correctly. I have it turned up to 100 - the highest and I can barely hear it.

Monitor volume is affected by TWO volume controls (or even three...)
1: Volume on the monitor can be set to 80%
2: Main Volume on the COMPUTER can be set to your liking.
3: Wave volume on the computer mixer settings should be set for 80% (See Sound on your control panel or right click your volume control near the clock)

If all these are right and the volume is still low, check that the audio is not set for surround 5 or 7 channel and the monitor audio connector is plugged into the REAR green connection on the computer.

Still problems, the audio driver in the monitor is shot.

I bought a Fatal1ty headset and when I plug it into my computer the sound is very low. I have everything in the volume control panel all the way up and nothing is muted. The mic is fine, but the sound...

Yes... this is a common problem, but you did not mention your computer type and model? This means a very "broad brushed" answers...

CHECK your CONTROL PANEL and assure the "MASTER VOLUME" is not set too low!

Try to reinstall your audio drivers.

IF your computer is a DESKTOP, try adding a SOUND CARD... It's usually a easy install (one new screw to mount your card ~ provided) and so is the setup (CD provided).

About $5 on eBay. *** EDIT... sorry I added the wrong link to this post!
