turn off the printer..connect the printer to wall outlet..and try to make a copy..if its still the same..perform these steps..
1)unplug the power chord from the back of the printer..
2)press and hold OK and CANCEL button together..
3)while pressing these two buttons plug in the power chord to the back of the printer..
4)after you plug in the power chord do not release those two buttons..
5)keep pressing those two buttons till the screen goes blank..
6)once the screen is blank release the buttons and turn on the printer..
7)wait for the printer to get initialize..
8)once the initialization is complete..try to make a copy..if the printer is still making noises..then machine should be replaced..
let me know after you perform these steps

I think the noise is normal for hp deskjet. When starting up, the printer read the head existence, and do cleaning. is it the first replacement cartridge? Disable ink status monitor.

SOURCE: my hp deskjet F2430 is
I don't have a solution, but mine is doing the same thing. It also has started printing multiple copies all on its own when I print a multi-page document. It will stop printing, for example, right in the middle of the third page, kick out the page halfway printed, and then start from the beginning all over again. This is my fourth HP product over the years, and I've never had any luck with any of them. They were all short-lived, pc's included.
