Oven not heating after self-cleaning cycle.

I've had this problem already one other time and it was the manual reset switch. the element is new so . i don't want to pay another service charge to have someone come out and test the element etc. as i have ohmmeter etc and can do that, i just don't have a wiring schematic for where the reset button lives. already checked main breakers etc. the stove top, clock etc work, the oven elements just won't heat. help

We have the Epicure 36, same problem. Reset buttons are about 8 inches back into the described area a bit to the right of center. Once we found them.....there are two, we pressed both, the oven worked! Thanks so much.

Just fixed a ERD30 for a friend with the same problem, No Bake heat after self clean. Did not have 240v at the bake element, Hi Temp limit sw/brker was okay. SHUT ALL POWER OFF TO STOVE FIRST. What we found was a cold solder joint on the BA relay on the Main Relay PCB under the black top burner plate on top of the stove. After talking to the Dacor tech svc, who were very helpful. We removed the venturi locking rings under the burner caps with special tool 86007C. First we sprayed the locking rings with Pam and let them sit. Cover the venturi holes first. Then disconnect the igniters, just pull wires out. Then removed three screws above the black plate on the back stainless plate so the black plate can be lifted out. Then in the center there's a 10"x10" cover plate, remove. The relay PCB is on the right side. On the Relay PCB toward the front right there's a relay marked BA. On the right side make a location map of all the wire locations. Remove all the wires on the right side, CAREFULLY. Then remove all the fasteners hold the PCB down, be careful not to crack PCB. Flip PCB over to left, look at the BA relay connections. Ours had a cold solder joint on the BA relay, Re-soldered. Put back together and everything was working. You might also want to look at the rest of the PCB solder connections to make sure there are no other cold solder joints. DO ALL THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. MAKE SURE TO DISCONNECT ALL POWER, 240V WILL KILL YOU. Good luck

Turn off power to the stove at breaker panel.
Open oven door.
Remove screws from vent panel below the control panel on front of stove.
Directly behind automatic door locking mechanism is a U-Shaped connector with a red button in the middle. Press down the red button.
Replace vent panel.
Restore power.
Set clock and oven should work.

Does the convection fan work when the reset switch is depressed. I have a range and when I set the temp and function, I can hear the relays clicking but no power going to the elements. Could this reset switch be the problem.

Lamona 4601 double oven.Stopped heating up so presumed element had packed in?

Try this. ANSWER is not specific to your machine.
You dont need the element to be red hot to know its working,
If its not obviously getting hot after 30 seconds its not working.
I dampen a cloth and wipe the COLD element and then watch the moisture dissapear quickly if the element is working.
First, have you recently done a self-clean cycle?
If so we can suspect that the OVER HEAT cutoff switch was triggered.
BUT before we conclude anything, check the broiler element for operation.
If the broiler also does not work, then its highly likely that the overtemp cutoff relay was triggered. This generally requires a technician. BUT
If you have a schematic, it will show if this switch is a ONE TIME USE SWITCH and needs to be replaced, OR if it is a pushbutton resetable switch. In either case the oven needs to be dismantled somewhat to get at the switch... I would call a technicain.

Oven (indicator light) clicks on and off

Start the self clean and then move the bar over so it will lock and complete the self clean cycle.

Preheats very slowly. Also, steam cleaning option seems to not be effective due to low heat. Is there more than one lower oven heating element?

For the oven their is 2 elements 1 for bake and 1 for broil, are each glowing red hot on the respictive settings of bake and broil? their is no trird hidden element. Plus i know manufactures come out with new features all the time,i attend factory trainging sessions a couple times a year but i am confused as to what the "STEAM CLEAN OPTION" IS??
THE SELF CLEAN cycle utilizes both elements to clean the oven adding steam is a new one on me

Bottom oven doesn't heat after running self-clean cycle

Usually, when an oven won't heat, it's because the bake element is burned out. The bake element is the black, pencil- thick tube at the bottom of the oven. When the oven heats, the element glows red. This element has an expected life-span of several years. It may last for only one; it may last for many more. When the element burns out, you need to replace it.

Circuitry may have gotten tripped during clean cycle. Oven will open and electronics work but neither element will heat.

baked control module for heating elements. if you have a volt meter, check for power when oven on, if no juice its the control element, if you do get juice then its the elements

Turned on self clean on my GE Spectra JBP24B0B4WH Range

Hello Cliff Hendershot,

One USA manual ... said turn off power for 10 minutes
(sounds reasonable after looking up cost of control board)...

USA websites are not responding to your number.
Closest I could get was to a $78 (us dollar) control panel

>> ((IMPORTANT PART ... has a video that shows repair))
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/ge-oven-control-t09-wb27t11312-ap5177950.html

~~

I could NOT get a good READ on your JBP24... page 8
So I attached a JBP19 (below)... Page 12.

The most COMMON reason to FAIL after a cleaning cycle
is your OVEN CONTROL is "off normal"

(You still do not have your MANUAL MODE restored).

Normal = "AUTOMATIC" LIGHT Off (NOT LIT)

Check your "oven controls"

else

Oven elements do break during routine use...
Check both roast & bake elements for continuity.

Oven not heating

i have had this problem twice. once was the heating element actually had shorted out because the little ceramic holders had broken, this necessitated getting new element. can be checked out with an ohmmeter by yourself or by taking element into appliance repair place. the other time, it was that the manual reset switch had tripped after a self-clean cycle. actually at the moment, that has happened again- design flaw perhaps in the RSD30 range?
so anyone who can tell a reasonable competent refrigeration/HVAC technician where the manual reset switch is would be appreciated.

Thermador Oven won't heat after running self-cleaning cycle

SOunds like you need to reset the oven high limit switch. It should be located behind the grille obave the oven opening and below the control panel. There should be about 4-6 screws you need to take out to remove the grille to gain access. Turn the power of to the oven at the circuit breaker, then rech in with a screwdriver and push down on the little red button in the center of the hig limit until it clicks. the high limit should be about as big around as a quarter and have a wire going into one side and out the other. If this keeps tripping, you may have a bad cooling fan. When you run a self clean it should also run a fan to cool the components. You should be able to feel a breeze coming out of the bottom of the oven when the cooling fan (not the convection fan ) is running. If this fan doesnt run, it will trip that switch. Hope this helps!
