Go to HPs website and make sure you have all the drivers installed for the "pointing device". Most likely the buttons have just worn out and don't want to work for you anymore. It is possible that the cable from the motherboard to the mouse came loose and is worth looking into. The easiest solution is probably to use a usb mouse.

The right side of my touch pad control button has stopped working

Did you check the settings for the left and right buttons under the mouse properties. Normally the left should be set on Click and the right should be set on Shortcut. If it's set to NONE then it will be inoperable. Better yet you can click the Default tab for buttons. Otherwise, it sounds like your touch pad needs to be replaced. The immediate remedy to this is to just go purchase a USB mouse and voila, you'll have the ability to left and right click.

I cant get my mouse to move on my samsung lapton

It is possible to turn the mouse pad off. On this laptop, the Fn key plus the F10 at the same time should toggle the mouse pad on and off. If this does not help, try an external mouse. If the Fn + F10 key does not work, but an external mouse does, make sure that you have a driver installed for the mouse pad by doing the following: Click start, then right-click on computer (my computer if you are on Windows XP), and click Manage. When the Computer Management window comes up, look in the left hand pane, and click on Device Manager. Then look in the right hand pane for mice and other pointing devices click the tirangle or plus just to the left of mice and see what pops out from underneath. If any of those have a big yellow exclamation mark, then there is a problem with the driver. right-click the problem driver and click Uninstall. Tell it yes, you want to do that, and then, after it is finished, right-click on the node at the top of the right-hand window that represents your computer, and click Scan for hardware changes. make sure you are connected to the internet, and tell it to connect to windows update to find the right driver. Follow the wizard to finish installing the correct driver. If you see something under Mice that has the word touchpad or obviously represents your touchpad, then that means there is a touchpad driver installed. Right click on it, and click update driver software. Make sure that you are connected to the internet before you go any farther. Then click Search automatically for updated driver software. Follow the wizard to finish installing any updated (if any) drivers. If none of this works, use an external mouse (wired or wireless), because it sounds like your mouse pad is broken. If an external mouse doesn't work, it sounds like you may need to get a new computer.

How to set up mouse pad so it works with touch

Check in the control panel under mouse. There should be a setting to enable tapping. If there is a touch pad icon on the bottom right of the screen you can also right click on that and select options.

Mouse Pad and Right and Left Buttons

Great job, I myself prefer to use a extra mouse rather then the built in one, if you chose to do this it wont work right away but if you give it a moment to recognize the mouse it will then be functionable.
