Mz-n10 just died...after new battery install

Hi there,ok I have a mz-n10,always was slightly noisy when reading the disc initially..second or so delayed...but then fine.Anyways, recently the internal battery was sucking so I bought a new one, installed it...charged it...was working fine for about 1 hour...then it got "wanky"started barely working...and now it's as dead as a doornail.Any suggestions?I put the external battery case on there,a new battery...still nothing.Does the unit need the internal battery to be working in order for the external to work?(just wondering if there is any chance the internal connection was no good...)There has got to be a connection between changing the batt and it dying...I mean it worked quite well previously.Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks for your time,Karen.

Re: mz-n10 just died...after new battery install

Well, this is a bit late, but if you still have the N10, you must charge the internal battery enough for the external battery to work. You can run the internal battery dead enough that it won't recognize the external battery in this model.
Make sure, of course, that the battery switch is on, and that you have the correct charger.

Hi. I have a Sony MZ-N710 Mini-Disc Walkman which wont read discs and also does not charge. If power is connected via the charging station or directly, or via external battery adapter the spinning disc...

Possible that the optical head unit has failed in your walkman and might need a replacement. It will be adviceable to seek the cost factor of a replacement unit of Sony that might turn out expensive ... to the entire cost of the set.
So unless the optical head reads there is no data transfer or processing.

That will be the link to click once you are directed to that page. You will first need to input the four characters in the blue box in the field provided before the link can be activated.

Hi my program for MD is for Windows xp but I have vista.

What model MD do you have? Generally you need any audio input cable to your PC that has a miniplug on the end that goes into the MD. This is a direct audio transfer, in real time. There's no other way except for some Hi-MD models.
