Question about Kenmore Refrigerators
Check the fridge thermostat with an ohm meter. It will turn on & off at room temp. You can also dip the bulb into a glass if ice water to check it.
If the freezer is working okay, you have a buildup of ice in the transfer tube. Remove the freezer walls. Use a hair dryer to melt the ice buildup in the bottom & rear of the freezer. Look for mouse damage where the tubes enter the rear of the unit. Make sure the drain pan & tube under the cooling coils is clean.
