Question about Sony KV-40XBR700 40" TV
Exact same problem. KV-40XBR800 wont turn on, blinks six times. I am in the process of changing both Ic's part# MCZ3001D with part# MCZ3001DB. Ordered them frm ebay and waiting for the new parts to arrive.
here are the pictures of both chips and after i removed them from the d board.
As soon as i receive the new ones i will put them in. I can't wait to see what happens and i wanted to say thanks to all of you out there for putting this thing up. Thank you very much.

Yes the d board is bad - as far as the red and white wires - disconnect (unsolder) from the crt board

I replaced both IC's (mcz3001d) on my KV-40VBR800. The TV powers on and stays on. Yeppee........but now the TV picture is very discolored and out of focus (fuzzy). I adjusted two screws when I was taking the board off thinking I could disconnect
the red and white wire. WRONG! see below.....
Could this be the issue and if so would it be wise to adjust while TV is plugged in and on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.....
No worries! I fixed the issue. I re-adjusted both knobs and the picture is great.
