Ricoh prints everything in left Margin

We have a Ricoh printer in our office, and it just started printing in the left margin on everything we print? I am not very ''up to date'' on printers so does anyone have any suggestions?

What is it printing on the margin? Is it part of the print job or old print jobs?

1. Open the tray.
2. Remove paper.
3. Make sure that the side guides are moving properly.
4. Reinstall paper adjust side guides and end fence.
5. push tray in then try.

In most cases the side guides are not set properly, in some cased the gear that syncronises the two side guides has popped out and must be reinstalled.

Check the printer properly and see what size paper the printer thinks is in there, or check at the controll panel.
-Carl, please let me know if this helps.

Everything is working just fine except the margin on the right and left side is missing some of the printing, like its printing something to wide????

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!

Sir, If there is a problem of margin in printing and except it everything is working fine then this not seems to be the problem of printer, its the issue of the file format, You have to check the settings of the programs which you are using for files printing like if you are using Microsoft Word and you have to print the document of Microsoft Word the check the Margin Settings of Microsoft Word,By Decreasing the width of the file you can bring it in correct format and then printer will not miss the left and right margin.

I hope this solution helps you and you have clear picture in your mind now
Let me know if you have any confusion in your mind.

Sir, Your Rating as FIVE Stars for this solution and words of appreciation will be esteemed
Thank You for taking my service

I am trying to print a booklet 2 pages per sheet double sided. Printing is OK but spacing is no good for the binding when the pages are cut in two. What instructions should I give the printer to allow...

Hi

By spacing, I assume you mean the margins at the centre.

The default margin settings are not the same for the right and left hand side of the page, so the printing on the reverse side is offset from the printing on the first side.

The right margin is always wider to allow for punch holes in file paper.

It is not the printer settings you need to adjust, it is the page layout of your word processing software.

Adjust the margin settings manually. In MS Office 2007:

Page Layout > Margins > Mirrored Margins.

Hope this helps.

How do I change margin setrtings foe Lexmark P4350

If you are preparing to print a document that you have created in Microsoft Word, you may be concerned that all the text on the page will print exactly as you see it on your screen. This is not always the case. You can adjust your print margins to ensure that your text prints on each page exactly the way you would like it to appear.

Opening Your Document
Open your Microsoft Word document by double-clicking the Word icon on your desktop. If you do not see the icon on your desktop, then you can locate it where it is buried on your "Start" menu. Click "Start," followed by "All Programs." Then click "Microsoft Office," followed by "Microsoft Office Word." A new document will open on your screen. Click the "Office Button," followed by "Open." Scroll through the files listed, and double-click the one you would like to print. It will open on your screen.

Check Your Margins
By default, your page margins are set to 1-inch margins on the top, bottom, right and left of your page. You can check your margins or change them by clicking "Page Layout," followed by the "Margins" button.

Select New Margins
Select a different margin size, such as "Narrow," which indicate 1/2-inch margins, or "Wide," which indicate one-inch margins on the top and bottom and two-inch margins on the left and right. You also can select "Moderate," which indicate one-inch margins on the top and bottom and 3/4-inch margins on the left and right. Finally, you can select "Mirrored," which indicates one-inch margins for the top, bottom and outside. The inside margins are set at 1 1/4 inches.

Print Your Page
Print your page. Press "Control" plus the "P" button. The printer dialog menu will come up. Make sure that "All Pages in Range" is selected. Press "OK." If your printer cannot print your new margins, then a new menu will pop up telling you to adjust your margins.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

HP Deskjet 5650 is printing off-center. The printing field is shifted to the right, so the right margin is non-existent and I lose a bit of the printing. How can I fix it?

I think the horizontal printing starting point can be adjusted by holding down buttons (??) when powering up. Right now my left margin is 3/8 inch too big -- photos have that much white space on left margin with borderless printing. I am trying to figure out the key combination.

Within MS Word, minimize the "left-margin" and "right-margin" settings/

Use "printer setup" to minimize the margins.

I am not able to print the portion from exactly start of the page of ms word document, why? Not able to show it in print preview??

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
The portion within the Margins can only be printed, lessen the top margin at bit.
I remember the top margin for default is 1', change it to 0.5' or 0.6'

In Office < 2007 (Margins are in File > Page Setup)
In Office 2007 (Margins are in Page Layout > Margins > Set it to Narrow)

Note: If you printer is non-Laser (I mean if it is Ink-Jet) Do not make the margins too less, the printer won't be able to print it.

Printer not printing margins correctly

Set the margin unit of measurement to whatever you find most useful: inches, centimeters, millimeters, points, or picas.
  1. Choose File > Options > Advanced.
  2. Under Display, in the Show measurements in units of box, select the unit you want.

Check you Page Setup andmargin set. Sounds like the page isn't set up properly. When you typing a document, go to the FILE then PAGE SETUP. Margins and Paper Layout.
