Question about Canon PIXMA MP210 Photo All-In-One Printer

Printer pulls paper to the right...causes paper jam

Whenever I try to print something the printer pulls the paper to the right and causes a paper jam. Haven't used the printer in 6 months because of the problem. Need the printer working because I'm working from home. We just got the printer last summer when we purchased our computer and only used it for probably 3 or 4 months before the problem arose. Thanks.

Possibly some paper is stuck in the printer. Can you manage to open the printer and check this out. If no paper at all then possibly carry it in for in-warranty service to the company outlet.

Our printer says that there is a paper jam and whenever we try to print something it will not print, but we've checked and can't find any paper. is there a way to reset it or something?

All it takes is a small piece of paper to be left inside the printer. However; if this is not the case you may have a paper sensor that is dirty or is malfuntioning. You can take a can of air to blow out the inside of the printer. Make sure your printer is unpluged before doing this. This may dislodge any paper pieces or will clean any dust and dirt that may be causing this issue.

Printer pulls paper to right side jams does not print

usually this indicates some foreign object on the opposite side where the paper goes in. Please check to see if you have some small pieces of paper or something else in the paper path area.

also, another possibility is that your pickup roller is missing, dirty or damaged. try cleaning it too.

thanks adi

How do I fix a paper jam? I've got paper jam around the exit roller and I can't get it out?

There should be a way to unlock one of the sides. Try taking out the toner cartridge and going in that way. If you can see the paper, get a pair of needle nose pliers and SLOWLY see if you can pull the paper out.

Lexmark X5400 Series AIO Feed Problems

Hi,
Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC. Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry.
Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and replug and try a test print.
Also make sure that you have waited long enough for the printer to heat up before giving a print job.
Finally, it could be an issue with the paper sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for servicing..

Thanks, Anu

Paper feed problem from both tray 1 & 2

There is a long set of sensor flags on the bottom of the paper input unit that can get stuck and not move freely. This will cause jams from both trays. Try unplugging the printer, removing the toner cartridges and tray 2. Turn the printer on its back or side. You will see a long, black plastic bar with flags on it that runs the length of the paper input unit. make sure it moves freely.

Paper problem

At this point, you my wish to try feeding a slightly thicker piece of paper or light card stock through the printer. If that fails and there is no obvious paper jam then I'm afraid there is nothing else and the printer would need to be serviced or replaced.
