Washer pulling clothes under agitator (by 6 users)

I've owned this Calypso washer for 6 years and HATE IT!!! I've had the washer repaired 6-7 times over the years. It just went off extended warranty (of course). Now, the washer gave me a CA error reading. I opened the top and found that it sucked a piece of laundry underneath the agitator and was stuck in one of the drain holes. I took off the agitator and removed the stuck clothing (and found a few pairs of socks from god knows how long ago). I put it back together but now it continues to trap clothes between the tub and agitator and trips a CA error. I lined up the "set hole" on the plastic agitator properly so I know it's in the proper position. I also checked to ensure the rubber band around the agitator is in the proper "down" position. The only thing that I'm unsure of is if the part that sits on the gear needs to be in a specific configuration (this is under the steep cap that the agitator screws into). I hope that you can follow my ramblings. I would appreciate any assistance.
