Well you can start be cleaning the drums and adjusting the paper tray, if the printer is under warranty then get it checked. There was no recall for this printer, doesn't say that on hp website.

Go to start>>>Control Panel>>>Printers.
Make a right click on Printer Icon select Properties.
Go to Advance Tab.
And make sure that Print directly to printer is unchecked.
Go to Printers and Faxes. Right click on the printer and select Properties. Toward the bottom, click on Printing Preferences... Click on the Support tab. Click on Print Settings.
This should give you three pages. The third page has the network settings including Ethernet/MAC address.
you need to check the print property to be selected as ALL instaed of selection. by clicking on file menu >print>check the box ALL to print the whole pages
