Firstly, take out the card then switch on your camera and see if th message still comes up. It may be a problem with the memory card. Put memory card into pc slot and save all photos from it so that you can format the memory card. There may just be a file folder or photo that for some reason it cannot read. If it all works well without the card then I suspect something wrong with either the card or the content. New cards are easy to get.

MY CAMARA KEEP SAYING READ CARD AN THEN POWER DOWN. it is new 8gb an new batteries please give advice JAZZ DV150

I'm going to first question this cameras capabilities to work with an 8GB memory card it just might not have the capacity.

But before jumping on my first impression make sure the memory card is unlocked I'm going to include a diagram the small circle shows the correct position of this lock swich to record.

Once you are sure the card is unlocked I'd suggest that you format this card and if it begins to work as it should then all is Okay if not you might need to update the camera firmware to accept a larger memory card.

As I dont know which card you are using so here I am giving an simple example with images.
Just click HERE and first read the instruction. It is from SANDISK as it is the most trusted memory stick brand so i am giving its resemblance.

Follow the same steps and make you card working.

Your card can be formatted with either the FAT32 or FAT (FAT16) system. It is possible that you are not formatting with the proper system. It is always best to format the card in-camera, to ensure it is being properly formatted.

Everytime i turn the camera on it says that "this card cannot be read"

Hi, the data on the card is corrupted and as a result is not reading it, you will need to format the memory card, if you cannot format it through the camera i suggest formatting it through the computer.

Hope this helps

Digital camara and memory card

Basically picture files in memory card have corrupt data that's why computer doesn't recognize it.
HP recommends following action...
Close the HP Image Zone or HP Photosmart Software, disconnect the camera from the computer, and reset the camera. (can see this at HP Support)
2nd option is to find some memory card data recovery software on internet and use it to correct data files in memory card.
Thank you.

SD card keeps popping up when inserted in cama. SD card will not stay down in camara Says it needs to be formatted. It will not format. Never has this problem before How can I fix this

The SD slot of the camera got damage somehow. The SD slot contains thin copper prongs that locks the card in place and comes in contact with the surface of the card. If these prongs are damaged, then it cause a read failure of the camera.

A Dropped Camara. Please Read

That is what casio calls a lens error. You will have to send it in and have it fixed. The cameras don't do well even when dropped from that short distance. Call repairs at 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 1. Tell them that you talked to tech support already otherwise they will try and transfer you to their tech support.
