See if you have the operating system installation cd with you then try to repair the boot menu files howeva if that dont work out then install the operating system and that should resolve your problem.

How to Repair the Boot Sector:
If XP won't start it may be due to a damaged boot sector or a missing or corrupt ntldr or ntdetect.com files.
To replace damaged ntldr and ntdetect.com you can copy fresh files from the XP CD using the COPY command. Boot with the XP CD and enter the Recovery Console (as above). At the Command Prompt type the following (where "X" is your CD-Rom drive letter) allowing the files to overwrite the old files
COPY X:\i386\NTLDR C:
COPY X:\i386\NTDETECT.COM C:

To repair a damaged Boot Sector at the command prompt type FIXBOOT and press Enter. Then answer "Y"

Does the board work? Maybe you tried an unsuccessful BIOS upgrade?

New GA-990AX-UD3 motherboard will not boot

Thomas,
I have had a Gigabyte mobo not boot due to a pushed pin on the 24-pin mobo connector. I fixed and it booted normally. In your case it seems to be the video card. Are you using the DVI or HDMI output. Use the DVI first to setup your card on a monitor not a TV. HDMI is notorious for not working on a new build. Also reseat your video card and be sure non of the pins on the board itself are pushed in, or stuck in the out position it can happen. Also be sure your card is in the top slot or the 16X slot for the first boot. The one closest to the CPU. This may help. -Devin

Can't boot after upgrade bios f6

If you flashed the BIOS and it stopped for whatever reason or you flashed the wrong BIOS version, there is nothing that you can do except to replace the BIOS IC.
  • If the system has a boot block to restore the original BIOS, use it. Refer to your motherboard documentation.

  • If not, you will need to contact the system or motherboard manufacturer for a replacement.
