Re: samsung tv

Your ATI has two DVI connectors but your monitor can only take CRT. In the box came an adapter to change your video signal from DVI to CRT. You connect this to your monitor cable & hand tighten the 2 screws, this connects to the video card. While in windows open control panel, than open Display than click Settings. Click Advanced. Among the tabs here, there should be a tab that says Catalyst Control Center. This is where you setup your display. You can't be switching between the two DVI ports. Ya need to stay with one. The second is for another monitor.
In here is also Help. The control center will help you adjust your adapter. If you do not have the Catalyst Control Center you'll have to download it from this link:

The usual procedure is to replace all the electrolytic capacitors first.
(Check if any are 'blown'). If that doesn't work, reflow the solder joints on SMD devices (obtain a tube of liquid flux to help) using a heat gun. You may have to use shields to keep plastics from melting.
Good Luck

Please give more details. if you are trying to connect a pair of speakers to a samsung monitor, then you need to use one with built in speakers. Then it will have an audio out. Otherwise, plug the speakers in to the computer the same as the rest of us. But if you are trying to connect your speakers to a TV then connect using either the headphone socket or use the RCA (red and white) connectors on the TV.

I had exactly the same issue. Just start ColorSync Utility and check under the devices tab if your TV is identified on the "monitors/displays" section. If so, go to System preferences >> Displays >> Colors and select the color profile provided by the TV (namely "display" or "HD 709-A"). Hope this helps.

Most laptops have 3 video-display options:
* output only to internal LCD screen
* output only to external VGA port
* output to both LCD and VGA

Hold down the blue 'FN' key on your keyboard, and look at the BLUE labels on/above the 12 'F' keys. One of those Function-keys can be used to "toggle" through the above 3 display modes.
