Turbochef tornado toaster wont get to menu, just warming up

The most common issue with this is a bad IR element. When the oven is cold remove the metal rack. you will see the IR element on the bottom. turn the oven on. wait 1 min. open the door and see if the bottom element is warm at all. If the bottom element is still cold then you have a bad element.

Somkey smell comes out from back of toaster oven

smoky smell is usually from the transformers or a bad magnetron. You would need to take off the right cover and visually inspect for something burning.

My oven is on warming mode from last six hours. Please adivse

First, check the back of the oven. See if the lil red button can be pressed in. Then check the IR Element, usually you can see the wires burned or damaged where it enters the oven by the snap rings. This was a design flaw from the manufacturer of the element of which turbochef has taken care of.

COMPONENTS
IR Element
The IR element - a dual coil type heater - is located
in the bottom of the oven cavity. The first coil is the
heating coil. The second is the IR thermocouple
wire. The heating coil outputs 3000 watts at 208
VAC. The heating coil's resistance is 14.4 ohms at
room temperature.
The thermocouple coil is a Type K thermocouple
with a resistance of approximately 20 ohms at the
splices located approximately 6 inches from the
heater and 40 ohms measured at the extension wires
at the I/O control board.
The IR element is controlled via the K5 solid state
relay and the IR thermocouple via the I/O control
board.

Its typically an easy quick fix.

How to fix F7 in turbochef

F7: Thermocouple Open

CC Thermocouple

Reads 999?F/C or

IR Thermocouple
Reads 1999?F/C

1. Check the connection of open thermocouple on the I/O control board.

If the connection is OK, verify thermocouple is not an open circuit

by using your ohm meter. The cook cavity thermocouple should

measure approximately 4-5 ohms and the IR thermocouple should

measure approximately 30-40 ohms. Measure at the I/O control board

40-pin connector.

o Thermocouple indicates open circuit: Replace defective thermocouple.
o Thermocouple OK: Replace the I/O control board.

F3 Mag Curr. on Turbochef Tornado

Hello. Interesting coincidence, but that error code is for the magnetron/microwave part of the toaster. You will need to have it serviced by someone familiar with the unit, it could be easy and reasonable, if just a fuse blew, but not likely. If the fuse blew, it is 20amps, so something took it out. Call turbo chef, they will get you to the closest servicer, may be able to help you on the phone.
