Hi,

There could be serveral reasons for this . Would recomend to go through each step to try to rectify it.

Check the turf. "Remove any debris that may be thrown from under the mower deck," Garthe says. "Sticks, rocks or children's toys can be expelled at speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour. Check for hidden obstacles in the grass to prevent serious injury to bystanders. Small gravel not only chips paint on cars, but also cause eye injuries."
--No Riders. An extra rider on the operator's lap or carried on a tractor fender or hood is an accident waiting to happen. "Lawn and garden tractors have a seat for one person only," says Garthe. "An extra rider often distracts the operator, causing the tractor to swerve or tip. Riders seeking to maintain balance may grab for the steering wheel or operator, making the situation worse." --Inspection. A careful tractor inspection before mowing is important. "For instance, underinflated tires affect the steering and handling of the machine," Garthe says. --Adjustments. "Make sure the mower deck is at the right height," Garthe advises. "An improperly adjusted mower deck will gouge your turf and make mowing unsafe. --Use Correct Parts. Loose bolts and bent blades are frequent hazards. "Using incorrect mower blades is a common mistake and can result in damage to the underside of the deck," says Garthe. Blade tips should be about 1/4 inch above the lowermost edge of the mower deck. "Fingertip and toe amputations are fairly common when people install a blade that projects beyond the deck," he adds. --Safe Refueling. Never attempt to refuel an engine just after it has been shut off. Liquid gasoline cannot ignite, but gasoline vapors do. "Gasoline vapors always are present, especially when the liquid is rapidly heated," Garthe explains. "When the liquid is spilled over a hot muffler, vapors rapidly waft into areas that are just right for a fire. Always allow at least five minutes for the engine to cool before filling the tank, and never refuel inside a closed building where fuel vapors can accumulate. "Many garden tractors, especially older models, have batteries close to the fuel tank," Garthe says. "Metal funnels and fuel cans should not contact battery terminals not only because of gasoline vapors, but also because explosive hydrogen gas is generated from active batteries." --Discharge Chute Plugging. The underside of a mower deck often is the most neglected part of lawn care machinery. Scrape off compacted grass after each mowing. When grass accumulates on the underside of the deck, airflow is altered, and the mower will not discharge cut grass properly. "Unclogging a discharge chute while the blade is spinning is extremely dangerous," Garthe says. Garthe offers these mowing guidelines for lawn and garden tractor operators:
--Disconnect spark plug wires before cleaning the mower deck.
--Wear protective shoes and clothing, including ear and eye protection.
--Avoid mowing wet grass that will clog the mower's discharge chute.
--Keep bystanders -- including children and pets -- at a safe distance.

I have a Ryobi s430 that starts and runs and throttles up fine when level but will stop if I tilt it to start using it even if I have the throttle pulled. Acts like its bogs down when not level.

Investigate the fuel line inside the fuel tank. Sounds like it may be split or cracked, or broken off. The line has a weighted pick up filter, and it is very common for the line to crack or break off so that when tilted, the line is above the fuel level.

I have a newer 58v Echo trimmer. Worked fine last season, but when I use it now it runs for a few seconds and then completes shuts down. If I try again, it runs for a few seconds and stops again.

This appears to be a good news problem. There is an easy fix/work around! Consumer reports found the same problem that you have discovered.

Holding down the check battery switch allows the unit to operate. Read the link around the sixth paragraph the story is told.

Echo Trimmer Can Be Tricky to Start

"Our testers discovered the fix by chance. Pressing the check battery button, a last-ditch attempt to get the trimmer working, made all the difference. While this button ordinarily indicates the battery's charge status, in this case it also served to keep the battery from switching into protection mode and cutting off power to the motor. The next time you fully charge the battery, however, the problem can reoccur."

Hope this has helped?

I have a petrol hedge trimmer TRY26PHTA. The engine will start fine but the blades will not move

If the engine starts 'fine" then it has not seized.

Many, if not most, hedge trimmers are , for safety, equipped with a "CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH" between the engine and the blade to prevent blade operation unless the engine is at full RPM.

IF your machine is so equipped, it's possible that the clutch is worn and slipping so badly that the blade can't move.

Why does my craftsman 2-cycle model 316.791860. Gas trimmer die?

Those little carbs clog very easily and what you experience is a common symptom. Go to any bog box home store and in the mower area pick up a can of small engine carb cleaner.
Remove the carb, take it apart as far as you comfortably can and soak all pieces in a can/jar of CLEAN gasoline for 10 -15 mins. Agitate to get the gas moving.
Remove the carb, and drip clean then use the carb cleaner to blow out every port you can see. reassemble and install the carb, it should work fine.
Before storing for the winter drain all gas from the tank and start it allowing the machine to run till it stalls out due to no gas. You should be fine for next season that way.

What is the gas oil mixture for homelite sx135 trimmer

Use 32:1 with good quality 2-cycle oil. I have Used Stihl, Homelite, Poulan and Several Other 2 Cycle Trimmers in the Yard Maintenance Service and Have Found the 32 to 1 Mixture to Extend the Life of the Engine. Always Remember to Drain the Tank and Run the Engine Until the Carbuetor is Empty for Off Season Storage.

Poulan 2150 very hard to pull start..first time this season trying to start...seems like too much compression...pulls nice and easy with spark plug removed..with the spk plug in...very hard to pull..still...

If fuel leaked into the engine over the winter, it could cause very hard-to-pull problems. Remove the plug, ignition off, with the cylinder/head down, pull it through vigorously to see if expels any fuel. Replace last year's fuel with fresh fuel mix. It's a good idea to allow the engine to run out of fuel before storage. Does this engine have a compression release? If so, it may need cleaning to work properly. Hope this helps!

Craftsman 34cc 4 cycle weedwacker will not start

Start by removing and cleaning the spark plug. The check out the screen at the exhaust port and make sure that it is completely free of carbon build-up. I never run my equipment out of gas at the end of a season, I usually add some fuel stabilizer to the gas and run some into the carb before shutting down for the season. Hope this helps and good luck.

Makita G11oo portable generator. starts on choke. cuts off run

Just noticed your question... If you still need a little help:
1. If the gas is from last year, drain the tank and the carb bowl and replace gas with new. Visually inspect the inside of the tank ..be sure there's no sediment that needs to be cleaned out.
2. remove air cleaner and make sure it's not plugged or dirty
3. plug the spark plug and clean with spray carb cleaner.
4. At end of season, mix some gas stablizer in with the fuel to keep it from going bad while in storage.

Let me know how it goes..
