Question about HP Photosmart C7180 All-In-One InkJet Printer
You might need to reseat the print head, or could be the sensor is damaged - so it couldn't read the alignment position properly.
I would take out all the cartridges, I think C7180 have a set of print heads separately from the cartridges. Remove the print head, clean it while at it, put it back, make sure securely seated. Put the cartridge back.
If the alignment still fails, did you see the light when it is trying to do the alignment? Is there any paper piece stuck there? Cleaning might help.
