SOURCE: I have printed this file many times, sent file to

Try this, Press the Cancel button several times, leave it for few minutes, and then Turn off and switch on while you keep pressing the cancel button. If there's memory installed on the Dimm slot, remove it and re-install it.

Also check the print queue, Start > Printers and Faxes > double-click the printer's icon, click "printer" on the menu and select "Cancel all Documents" click "Ok" and restart both computer and the Machine. (I assume your computer with windows Operating System Installed.)

Sometimes reseating the cartridges and drum is helpful. You can give a try. But since you can make copies, I don't suspect the issue's related to the machine, but with the computer and memory.
Disconnect and reconnect the cable (usb) connecting the machine to the computer.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

How to photo copy

Apart from the ways listed above you can copy documents simply by photographing them with a digital camera. I recently copied several documents this way and sent the files by email. I could equally have printed them.

Fax machines also are capable of producing copies though the quality is more draft than photograph.

How do i retreive and receive faxes? My machine has recieved material in memory, yet when i try to print them, the alarm rings after first page and display reads "CHECK PAGE SIZE, press OK" It will re

If you are able to print normally from this model, despite the 'stuck' faxes, then it could be that you have been sent a document that is not the same size as that in your tray. Try cutting A4, if that is what you have, down to 'legal' and see if will move on to next page. If this works, cut some more and print job till finished.
If the above makes no difference, you may have to do a memory reset to clear a corrupt fax record. Caution! this would clear all faxes queued in your machine.

All you need to do is uninstall your printer to remove everything and then try re-installing again because otherwise it may be difficult for you to cancel all jobs at once.

Kill the job on computer that sent the print job. If the job fails to clear you can stop and start the print spooler

Right click My Computer > Manage > Services.
Right click Print Spooler > Stop then Start. That should clear the job.

Same principle pertains to a network printer, but needs to be done print server.

When I print a one page document, tray 1 prints on multiple papers at a time. 1 page prints on 5 pages.

If you don't have a manual, you can find one here

My guess is either on the printer or the driver. Skimming the manual, it doesn't seem that you can set the default number of pages printed per sent print job on the printer, but that is something I would look into. This is a nice office printer, perhaps the printer is set to print multiple copies of everything it is sent. You could determine if it is the printer or driver/computer by printing to it from another computer.

If it is the computer, go into the control panel and select the properties for this printer. In there, check if the number of copies is improperly set to 5. This would happen for every print job sent from this system.

Does it print 5 copies of documents sent from different programs (i.e. Web Page, Word, Excel)? Quite possibly, one time you set it to print 5 copies and that application retained that as default. In that application, rather than clicking "print" click "printer setup" and look through the settings to see if it is requesting multiple copies.

I am 95% sure one of these three solutions will solve your problem.

Command sent to printer but printer is not printing the document

First of all make sure your network cable is connected properly and has not come loose.

Most likely though is that the IP address has changed .
Do you know your printers IP address? Have an old copy of the configuration to compare it to a new one?
That machine is notorious for changing the IP address and I really suspect that is the problem.
You can try turning it off and back on.
You can check the job status queue and be sure the machine is not holding a job . It could be " held for resources." What that means is a job was sent to the printer and the print driver and settings on the printer are different. I will not print if those settings are different.
By that I mean, on the print driver, it sends a job for 8 1/2 x 11 plain paper. The machine settings say it has 8 1/2 x 11 bond paper or visa versa. If the settings between your computer and printer are different it will hold the job until they match. Look on your printer screen and be sure the tray settings are correct.

Making copies of its own accord and says it is receiving a file ??

Sounds like you have your copier connected as a printer also. If so, someone has sent a print job to it using the wrong driver. Check the print ques to everyone connected & delete the print jobs. Delete all print jobs from the copier as well. The other solution is to disconnect the print cable from the machine & let it print the job it has in storage. The problem with that solution is that a 2 page document can turn into a 200 page document when the wrong driver/printer has been selected. Good Luck!!
