Question about Kenmore 20.3 cu. ft. / 575 liter Upright Freezer 23024
It sound like your compressor is in trouble, I would try and see what amp. the compressor is running in this 30 seconds. If it is over the name plate requirement I would try to change a 3 in 1 electrical component to see wheather it helps. Check your amp. at all time.Hope this help.God Bless

Normally on some older freezers, If you suffer from a "brown out" or a short term loss of power, the compressor will try to start, but since the pressure in the system hasn't dropped on the high side, it will have a very hard time doing so. In that case, try un-plugging your freezer (or fridge) and plugging it back in about 5 minutes later.
