I installed but no sound comes out when i record. i hooked up the VCR to it and i hear sound, but when i hook up my 8mm cam it does not Record in sound only video. I bought a S video cord and i see the footage but no sound . How do i set up the sound for Windows XP PRO

You are aware that the S video cord does not transmit sound? You need a cord for the sound in addition to the S video cord.

Yes your problem is dont worry you buy a single sturio cabe put the audio output jack and other side put in mother board audio input jack then solve your problem

What he means, is that you should get a cable to connect your VHS player with the soundcard. Presumably your TV card doesn't have integral sound. Look at the connections. Your VHS player probably takes phono cable, while your soundcard probably takes mini-jack. So a cable that has a single stereo mini-jack in one end and two (red and white or occasionally black) phone connections in the other end. Those are easy to come by if you go to an electronics store.
