Hello Friend, Your problem is simple. Your water inlet valve screen is clogged preventing the water from flowing at maximum pressure. here's what you do: just remove the water supply hoses at back of washer and look inside the hot and cold inlet openings that you just removed the water hoses from. You should see a filter screen in each of them. remove the screens, clean them or just replace with new screens. Also check each end of water supply hoses for the same type of filter screen and clean or replace them as well. Happy to help, Tim.

GE P563 takes forever to fill. I think some internal screen may be blocked. How would I get inside it to clean the screen and improve water flow? Screen in hoses to washer are fine.

Most manufacturers put screens inside the water valve where you screw the supply hoses onto the valve. You would need to take the hoses off and look into the valve. When I work on washers that have this type of problem, I usually take those off and use a toothbrush to clean them or I replace them with screens in the hose itself. Hope this helps!

Washer is working during spin, meaning it's still

Hi, a Kenmore washer that is not filling with water may have clogged inlet screens. Place a bucket underneath the hoses to catch any leftover water. Unplug the washer and turn off the water supply. Remove the water hoses from the back of the washer and inspect the screens inside the inlet ports. Often, these clog with sediment. Clean the screens with a small toothbrush. After cleaning, reattach the hoses and turn the water supply and power back on.

Another reason the washer might not fill is something interfering with the water pump. Check the connecting hoses on the water pump to make sure they are not clogged. With the hoses disconnected, check the water pump for obstructions.

Takes forever to fill water bearly comes out

The water line valves will need to be replaced. The are electrically operated valves so remove all power before replacing them. They are located under the hood, top rear of the machine.

Will not fill up with water before starting, it takes about 3-4 times brfore unit will run with full amount of water. loads take forever.

dish washers have a fill valve. the water supply line most likly has a net like filter that is stoped up with trash. Or fill valve is bad.
same thing happens to washing mashines. when they start filling up very slow you will TURN OFF water supply and diconect hose, look inside and there is the problem.

Washer is taking forever to go through rinse and spin. It ends with a code nd. Clothes are still wet and soapy.

HI, check the following to address this issue.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

**The most common issue will be an obstructed hose or, line

Water won't dump

When you replace the pump, always to remember to makes sure the pump is pushed all the way in so that the shaft has a good grip. Try taking it out and pushing it all the way in. The 4 legs should touch the motor, as you put the 2 little clamps on the top and bottom.

Good luck, I'm pretty sure it's something really basic with the pump :)

Cold water trickles, hot water fills fast as normal

where your water lines connect there is a sc reen inside and if it is clogged with rust lime and or mineral deposit. it needs cleaned out. you can pull it out with a ice pick or something pointy. Check your screen first and if that doesn't fix ya then yes replace the unit.

GE Washing machine cold water barely dribbles in

Yes remove the hose from where it connects to washer look inside water valve and remove plastic screen with needle nose pliers Without damaging it. Also make sure that it gets back in proper as the valve will be damaged without it.
