SOURCE: acer aspire not loading to windows

Hi,

If you have recovery disc or back up disc put it in and restart the PC and start tapping the F12 key until at the Acer splash screen, you should get now see your boot order, now use your up and down cursor key to highlight the CD/DVD drive and then press enter, this will now start the recovery disc that you put in, just follow the on-screen instructions.

If you don't have a disc, restart the PC and at the Acer splash screen start tapping the ALT+F10 or just F10 and if you have a recovery partition on your hardrive then the recovery program will start up, just follow the on-screen instructions.

Thanks

Gateway dx4380g-uw308 keeps restarting?

Windows 8 has a neat utility that is called "Refresh Your PC". This process does not change any of your files (documents, pics, vids, music, etc.). If you upgraded your PC from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and your PC has a Windows 8 recovery partition, refreshing your PC will restore Windows 8. You'll need to upgrade to Windows 8.1 after the refresh has finished.

To refresh your PC

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)
  2. Tap or click Update and recovery, and then tap or click Recovery.
  3. Under Refresh your PC without affecting your files, tap or click Get started.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

I factory reset my gateway zx series all-IN-ONE because the recovery disks i created wouldnt work.then i reinstalled windows and now i have nothing in my programs list n i cant log in cuz they want a...

Click "Start" on your Windows desktop. Navigate through "All Programs" and "Gateway." Click on "Gateway Recovery Management." Click "Restore" when the Gateway Recovery Management window pops up, which will take the system back to the default factory specifications. A box will pop up asking for confirmation, click "Yes" and then "Start." You may have to enter a password as well, but only if your particular Gateway had a password set. Wait for the computer to restart. A "Restore from factory default" box will appear, requiring you to click "Next" twice in a row. Click "OK" in the box that appears next, and wait for the hard drive partition to be created. The factory default installation will then be moved over to the hard drive. Click "OK" in the box that appears and wait for a second Gateway restart. Several minutes will pass as Windows "starts for the first time." When restarting finally finishes, a "Set Up Windows" dialog box will appear. Click "Next," followed by checking the license agreement box, and then "Next" again. Enter a user name and picture, if desired, and a computer name. Also, customize the background wallpaper for your desktop, optionally. Click "Next." Click "Use Recommended Settings" on the Protect Windows-based dialog box that pops up. Set your correct date and time settings in the next box. Select your location in the following screen. Click "Next," followed by "Start" to finish. Wait while Windows checks for your individual Gateway computer specifications and adjusts accordingly. This will likely take several minutes, so leaving your computer for a short time is fine. Windows will then prepare your hardware and finish your Gateway restoration process, including the installation of Gateway Recovery Management. Once completed, your Gateway is good to go and ready at factory settings.
Hope this helps.

Downloads 74% and won't move

In these cases, try emptying your cache,
restarting the browser or reloading (refreshing)
the page.
And always give focus to that window in which the game is loading.
(What I mean is, don't go to other windows, and make the game window the main window.)

No icons..nothing!?!

Try resetting the desktop. Right click on the desktop, click properties, then open the desktop tab. Change the desktop picture and see if that works. If it doesn't try a system restore. You will be able to access the start menu by pressing the windows key. If these don't work you'll need to run a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc.
