Printer is offline. how do I get it online?

Once you have added either a USB or networked printer to your PC or Mac computer, you can begin sending documents to print. However, on occasion, a print command will create an error on the printer and take it offline, which will prevent all future jobs from printing. To resolve this issue, you will need to change your printer settings from offline to online.
PC Instructions - Open the Start menu and click on the "Printers and Faxes" icon. This will open a window with a list of the printers currently set up on your computer. - Double-click on the icon of the printer you want to change to online. A pop-up window detailing all current print jobs will open. - Go to Printer in the menu bar of the pop-up window and uncheck "Use Printer Offline." This action will change the printer from offline to online. Mac Instructions - Open System Preferences by clicking on the icon in the Dock. - Go to the Print & Fax control panel under the Hardware category. - Select the printer you want to take online from the list on the left side of the screen. Then click on the "Open Print Queue" button. - Click on the "Resume Printer" button at the top of the queue window to change the printer from offline to online.

My printer won't print...there's a document in queue but it won't print and it won't delete.i've unplugged the printer and re-plugged it in I've restarted my computer...nothing is happening.

Try these steps to remove the print jobs stuck in the queue. Follow the instructions carefully:
First, you have to stop the Print Spooler. To do this: 1. Click on the Windows logo start button. 2. Go to Control Panel 3. Open Administrative Tools 4. Open Services 5. It will pop-up a Services window. Scroll through the list and look for Print Spooler. 6. Double-click on Print Spooler, and click on the Stop button. Click on Ok button. Set the window aside.
Second, you need to clear the print jobs in the Spool folder. To do this: 1. Click on the Windows logo start button. 2. Type Spool in the Search bar. 3. Open Printers folder 4. Delete all the files in the Printers folder. Close the window.
Third, you have to re-enable the Print Spooler. To do this: 1. Go back to Services window. 2. Double-click on Print Spooler, and click on the Start button. Click on Ok button. Close the Services window. Click on the Windows logo start button. Go to Control Panel and open Printers folder. Refresh the page. That should clear the print queue now.
If it still won't print, make sure to clear the print jobs in the queue again and try to reinstall the software. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.

I had to cancel the printing of 26 pgs. so

If you look down on the lower right hand side of your screen (by the time) there will be a couple of icons and an arrow pointing to the left. If you click on the arrow, you should see a little printer. If you click on it with the right button on your mouse a window will pop up. Click (right button again) on
"Open all active printers and faxes". A window will pop up showing the pages that are in the queue. Across the top of the window that pops up click on "Printer" then click on "cancel all documents"
Your problem is that the pages were downloaded into the memory of your printer so they have to be cleared from that memory. Good luck

Printing still photos from webcam

Go to Control Panel and click on Printers. Then click on your printer and set it as the DEFAULT PRINTER. It is probably set to the FAX Printer now. That is why it keeps popping up.
It should work okay after you set it as Default Printer.
Hope this helps. Bud

Cant print

Hi talodyis,
Some how someone has created, (Copy2). (It shouldn't be there at all nor a Copy1).
Only an icon of the HP PCS 1110 series & HP PCS 1110 Fax.
Let's try the easy way to fix this first!
Left click the Start button once & slide up to & left click once on Printers and Faxes.
Printers and Faxes window will open. Find Copy2 & right click on it once, slide to & left click Delete. (Copy 2 should go away)!
You still have an listing of an HP 1110 here in Printers and Faxes window.
Find the HP 1110 series printer from the list, right click on it once & from within the pop-up window left click, Set as "Default Printer". That should do it. Play it safe & restart the system.

Good luck!
Mike
