Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

1 Answer

My Sansa 8 gig clip displays this when I turn it on: Not enough space for music DB. Please free 30MB. I connect it to do this and it responds that it can't because device is full. What is my next step?

You would need to remove some songs (more than 5, less than 10 probably?), then also remove the database (it's this file: SystemDataPp5000.dat ). If you can't get enough access to do that, the other option is to reformat (see another answer for one of the e200 players).

Oops, fixya removed the backslashes from the file path of the file I mentioned in my clarification request. After each backslash, there's a capital letter, so it's easy to figure out. Otherwise, that was meant as a solution.

Not working 1gb sansa clip

What does that mean - "music db" ? I put all of my music on my 1 Gig and it works great. I put all Harry Potters audio books on my 8 GIG and still have 1.5 gig left for music.
