Vertical lines but still have a picture.

It sounds to be a T'Con fault. If you wish to get some details, http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts. Defective screen shots to LCD TVs are given with fault details. Try this link too.http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/

Sony HX750 has green line running vertically all the way down left hand side and black line running horizontally across top of screen

The fault is with its main power regulator section circuit itself. Check all the electrolytic capacitors there. Replace them. Replace the main filter capacitor too.

Sony bravia kdl-46w4100 moving vertical lines

Check the main filter capacitors at its power regulator board. Replace if found bulged or damaged. Replace all secondary side supply rails' filter capacitors too. The fault is with damaged electrolytic capacitors at the power regulator board itself.

I have two sets of black horizontal lines going across my Sony Bravia KDL-52Z5100. If you make the picture smaller the lines extend into the black area that is not part of the picture. After the TV warms...

Hello,

IF YOU HAVE A SOLID BLACK LINE RUNNING VERTICALLY THEN YOU HAVE A FAULTY MATRIX INVERTER. IF CENTRAL THE MAIN VERTICAL INVERTER NEEDS CHANGED. LEFT = LEFT VERTICAL INVERTER RIGHT=RIGHT.........

ANOTHER WAY TO GET THIS FAULT IS WORN OR DAMAGED RIBBON/PLASTIC GOING FROM THE SCREEN MATRIX TO THE INVERTER
Take care in solving the problem...

We have a 40" bravia

This sounds like a defective T-Con board. I recommend having it looked at by a professional.

Vertical line

Hello,

Most probably the vertical deflection amplifier is failing. The most common part that fails is the vertical output transistor.
The set is too old to find documentation on part numbers and descriptions. Probably the part is no longer available and you will need the assistance of someone who can help you find an equivalent transistor that will do the job.
Of course, without testing we cannot be certain the failure is the output transistor. It could be from something else such as the voltage regulator that feeds the dc line to the vertical section. Could be the vertical synchronous level that goes too low to trigger the vertical sweep generator.

Other bad parts in vertical deflection circuit though there are not that many parts that would kill the deflection entirely.

Loss of power to vertical deflection circuits. Check for blown fusable resistors/fuses and bad connections.

Loss of vertical oscillator or vertical drive signals
Good luck.

I have a Sony 26 inch Bravia LCD tv model KDL-V26XBR1.It has thin vertical black and yellow lines about an inch apart across the whole display. Not noticeable from a distance but really see them up...

Well if the panel is bad it would not clear up in any situation, so its not the panel. most likely the t-con board or just poor connections inside. Julio Millenium TV in Las Vegas.

Vertical colour lines on whole screen

The problem is that the panel has failed. Apparently this is a common problem with LCD TV's between 18 mths and 3 yrs old. If it survives over 3 yrs it is likely to last for a few years longer. The cost of replacing the panel is more than a replacement TV!
